Eflin (1-3) was charged with the loss Tuesday after pitching six innings of one-run ball, giving up five hits while striking out five versus the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Making his return from the COVID-19 injured list Tuesday, Eflin tossed four scoreless innings before running into a little trouble in the top of the fifth. He ultimately surrendered a run on an Austin Nola groundout which was almost an inning-ending double-play. Overall it was his second quality start in his last three outings and the five strikeouts tied a season-high. Outside of the five runs he gave up to the Mets in his last start May 1, Eflin has allowed two or less runs in three of his last four starts. The 28-year-old owns a 3.90 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 23 strikeouts over 30 innings this season.

The Phillies activated Eflin (illness) from the COVID-19-related injured list Tuesday. Eflin is expected to start in the Phillies' series opener versus the Padres in Philadelphia, according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin was away from the team for just over a week after testing positive for the virus May 8. Though he didn't head out on a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated, Eflin must have demonstrated enough progress in his recovery from the virus during his throwing sessions for the Phillies to sign off on him rejoining the rotation. Even so, Eflin could face a stricter cap on his pitch count than usual Tuesday, given that he hasn't made a start since May 1.

Eflin (illness) is hoping to return from the COVID-19 injured list and start Tuesday against the Padres, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin has been sidelined since May 8 but is reportedly feeling better. He threw 4.1 innings in his last turn through the rotation, so he should be able to handle a relatively normal workload. Through five starts this season, Eflin has maintained a 4.50 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with an 18:5 K:BB.

The Phillies placed Eflin on the COVID-19-related injured list Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin had been in line to start the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Mets, but his move to the COVID-19-related IL will force the Phillies to adjust their pitching plans. According to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com, Eflin was reportedly fully vaccinated when he landed on the COVID-19 IL last season, which means his placement on the list was the result of a positive. In a related transaction, the Phillies called up Cristopher Sanchez from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to serve as the 27th man for the twin bill, and he's now in line to start the second game Sunday with Eflin having been deactivated. Eflin's return date from the IL is up in the air and will be contingent on how soon he's deemed asymptomatic of the virus.

Eflin (1-2) took the loss to the Mets on Sunday night. He was charged with six runs (five earned) on eight hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 4.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin threw six innings of one-run ball against the Rockies his last time out, but he was unable to build on that success Sunday. The right-hander still has respectable numbers overall even after this blemish, and he's allowed just one home run through 24 innings this season. However, unless he can find a way to miss more bats, Eflin will remain volatile. He will have to hope for better BABIP fortune against this same Mets team next weekend.

Eflin (1-1) earned the win and struck out three in six innings, allowing one run on two hits and a walk in a 10-3 victory Tuesday over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin was dominant, retiring 12 of the first 13 batters he faced and scattering only a single and a walk through the first five innings. The lone run came on a two-out solo home run by Charlie Blackmon in the sixth. It was the longest outing and most pitches (91) for the righty in his four starts. He has compiled some strong numbers to start the season with a 3.20 ERA and just four walks in 19.2 innings.

Eflin allowed four runs on nine hits and zero walks over 5.2 innings during Wednesday's 9-6 win against the Rockies. He had five strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin was in trouble early Wednesday, as Colorado scored a pair of runs on three hits during the opening frame. The Rockies added two more runs in the fifth to take a 4-3 lead, but the Phillies rallied to tie it 4-4 in the sixth to take the right-hander off the hook for the loss. Eflin has yet to allow a homer this season but has given up eight earned runs over 13.2 innings across his three starts. He lines up for a remain with Colorado at home early next week.

Eflin (0-1) took the loss Friday as the Phillies fell 7-1 to the Marlins, coughing up four runs on six hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Miami struck for a pair of runs in each of the first two innings, and while Eflin righted the ship after that, he still got the hook after 81 pitches (49 strikes). The right-hander hasn't lasted five innings in either of his first two starts this season, posting a 4.50 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB through eight innings, and he'll be a risky option in his next scheduled outing Wednesday, on the road at Coors Field against the Rockies.

Eflin allowed two hits and two walks across four shutout innings in Sunday's loss to Oakland. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin loaded the bases in the third inning but managed to escape unscathed, thanks in part to a double play that he initiated. The 28-year-old righty carried over the momentum from his strong spring performance during which he punched out 11 batters and registered a 0.96 ERA through 9.1 innings. He's currently lined up to take the mound in Miami next week.

Eflin recorded six outs on 24 pitches during Saturday's start against Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin was making his first start of the spring after returning from patellar tendon surgery in September. The right-hander lasted two innings, throwing 24 pitches and successfully fielded his position on his surgically repaired knee. Eflin will likely make two more starts before facing Oakland at home April 10.
