With Gabriel Arias (ankle) back from the 10-day IL, Wilson will head back to the minors. Wilson owns a .167/.250/.222 slash line with four doubles, one RBI, six runs scored, one stolen base and a 7:34 BB:K across 85 plate appearances at the big-league level this season.

The Guardians recalled Wilson from Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, and he'll start at second base and bat seventh against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson will be up with the big club for the second time this season, taking the roster spot of Lane Thomas (foot). Wilson could be limited to a short-side platoon role during his latest stint in the majors, but he gets one of the toughest such assignments possible Sunday against Tarik Skubal.

The Guardians optioned Wilson to Triple-A Columbus on Monday.

Wilson started at third base and went 0-for-2 in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Jose Ramirez was shelved after spraining his right ankle during Friday's game, which opened up the hot corner for Wilson. The Guardians have multiple options currently on the roster to fill in at third, but Ramirez's injury is not considered serious. Wilson has gone 3-for-16 with two walks and a run scored since being called up in April.

The Guardians selected Wilson's contract from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson is receiving his first promotion to the big leagues after posting a .324/.418/.647 slash line and six homers in 18 games to begin the season for Columbus. The 26-year-old was selected by the Guardians in the minor-league portion of the Rule 5 Draft in December and is off to a hot start with his new organization. Wilson likely won't have a clear path to regular playing time with Gabriel Arias playing well at second base early this year.

Wilson has gone 1-for-6 with a walk and four strikeouts in two games for Triple-A Sacramento since receiving a promotion from Double-A Richmond on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson spent the bulk of the 2022 campaign at Richmond and slashed .225/.324/.445 with 12 home runs in 219 plate appearances. He'll look to make a positive impression at Triple-A over the next few days with the hope of earning a full-time role with Sacramento in 2023.

Wilson has gone 4-for-18 with a double in five games for Double-A Richmond since he was assigned to the affiliate Aug. 24 after being reinstated from Triple-A Sacramento's 60-day injured list.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was on the shelf at Triple-A for two months while recovering from left hand surgery. Prior to landing on the IL, Wilson had mustered a modest .584 OPS over his first seven games at Triple-A, so it's not a major surprise the Giants are having him play regularly at Double-A in the wake of his extended absence.

Wilson (hand) began a rehab assignment Tuesday with the Giants' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate and went 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson has been sidelined at Triple-A Sacramento since late June after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured hamate bone in his left hand. He'll likely continue his rehab assignment at Arizona or another low-level affiliate through the weekend before potentially making his return to Sacramento's lineup next week.

Wilson was promoted to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old middle infielder hit .233/.347/.505 with eight home runs and a 132 wRC+ in a return trip to Double-A. His 14.9 BB% and .272 ISO were career-best marks, but his 25.6 K% and 11.1% line-drive rate weren't ideal. Wilson is not on the 40-man roster and figures to spend the rest of the season at Triple-A.
