Chen is scheduled to start Wednesday against the Phillies, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Chen will simply move back a day following Tuesday's rainout. He will be opposed by Vince Velasquez.

Chen will not make his scheduled start Tuesday as the game has been postponed due to rain, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Marlins have yet to announce an updated rotation order, but Chen will presumably just move back to Wednesday. Chen rebounded from a poor outing against the Mets on April 13, tossing seven no-hit, shutout innings against the Mariners his last time out.

Chen has been pitching through a partial tear in the UCL of his left elbow since the end of 2016 and has been receiving special treatment after each start to help manage it, Tim Healey of the Sun-Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
He hit the DL last July and didn't return until September with what was described at the time as a sprain, but it appears the injury was a little more serious than that. Masahiro Tanaka has been pitching through a similar condition for the last couple of years, so it's entirely possible for Chen to be successful despite the tear provided it doesn't get worse, and he certainly looked fine in tossing seven no-hit innings against the Mariners in his last start. This news doesn't drastically alter his value in re-draft formats, but it does make the veteran lefty a riskier investment in keeper and dynasty leagues.

Chen (2-0) earned his second win of the season with seven scoreless innings of no-hit ball Tuesday against the Mariners, walking two and striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
Chen kept the Seattle hitters off balance all night, pitching to contact and inducing a series of weak fly balls with a few groundouts mixed in. Unfortunately, he threw 100 pitches through seven frames, thanks in part to 23 foul balls, and was pulled with the no-hitter still in tact. This was an ideal bounce-back scenario after Chen yielded six runs in just three innings in his previous outing, and he will look to build on his performance next Tuesday against the Phillies on a full seven days' rest.

Chen (1-0) was roughed up for six runs on seven hits over three innings while striking out three but escaped with a no-decision in Thursday's extra-inning loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander was getting far too much of the plate Thursday, throwing 39 of 56 pitches for strikes and serving up homers to Yoenis Cespedes and Wilmer Flores while coughing up a four-run lead the Marlins had staked him to in the bottom of the first inning. Chen's 7.00 ERA isn't pretty, but his 8:1 K:BB through nine innings is solid and suggests better days are ahead if he can fine-tune his command. He'll next take the mound Wednesday in Seattle.

Chen (1-0) allowed only one run on seven hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings in Friday's 7-2 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old lefty was efficient, throwing 63 of 86 pitches for strikes, but the highlight of the night for Chen was his first career major-league hit on a dribbler that Asdrubal Cabrera couldn't come up with cleanly behind the mound. He'll match up again with the Mets back in Miami on Thursday.

Chen gave up three runs (two earned) on seven hits while striking out three over five innings in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
While most of his spring numbers (3.38 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 13:1 K:BB) are strong, Chen's now surrendered six home runs in 16 innings -- not an encouraging sign for a pitcher who posted a career-worst 1.6 HR/9 last season. If the 31-year-old lefty can't keep the ball in the park, he could once again be an ERA threat to any fantasy roster he gets added to.

Chen allowed two runs on three hits and struck out six over five innings in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Both runs scored on solo shots by Yuli Gurriel and prospect Derek Fisher. In fact, all four runs Chen has given up this spring have come on solo blasts, leaving him with a solid 3.27 ERA but unsightly 3.3 HR/9 through 11 innings. His 10:1 K:BB is strong, though, and should be considered a better sign of where the left-hander stands in his preparations for Opening Day.

Chen allowed two runs on four hits and a walk over three innings while striking out three in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Both runs scored on solo home runs by J.R. Murphy and Byungho Park, not the best sign for a pitcher who allowed a career worst 1.61 HR/9 in 2016. Chen struggled in his first season with Miami, and while the club is expecting him to rebound this year, any improvement in his stat line will have to begin with finding a way to keep the ball in the yard.

Chen allowed one hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning of work during Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
A double play quickly erased Jose Reyes' infield single, and Chen needed just nine pitches to complete his day. The 31-year-old is coming off his worst season in MLB, but a lot of the damage came later in his starts -- he had a 7.64 ERA after the fifth inning in 2016. The Marlins have a deeper bullpen this year and manager Don Mattingly has indicated that he won't hesitate to give his starters quick hooks if they get into trouble, so Chen's ratios should improve if he's only required to go through the opposition batting order twice at most, although that won't help his chances of racking up wins.
