Suero is on the Nationals' NLCS roster but will be removed once Daniel Hudson returns from paternity leave, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hudson is expected to miss just one game, so Suero's stay will likely be short. Suero pitched once in the NLDS, allowing one run while recording just one out.

Suero is on the roster for the National League Division Series against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
The Nationals opted to expand their bullpen in favor of bench slots for the NLDS, opening up a role for Suero. Over his second major-league season in 2019, Suero carried an 81:26 K:BB with a 4.54 ERA.

Suero is not on the Nationals' wild-card roster.
EDGE Analysis
The Nationals elected to carry just five relievers. Each of their top four starters will be active for Tuesday's game against the Brewers, with Stephen Strasburg, Patrick Corbin and Anibal Sanchez all available to provide length behind Max Scherzer.

Suero (6-9) threw just a third of an inning while allowing two runs on one hit and one walk while also managing to strike out a batter as he took the loss Sunday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Suero took over in the seventh after Hunter Strickland ran into some trouble but wasn't able to clean up the mess. He allowed a two-RBI double to Jon Berti which gave the Marlins the lead and then Berti was later able to score on an RBI triple by Starlin Castro. The Nationals entered the inning with the lead and the bullpen completely fell apart with Suero being the odd man out and taking the loss. The right-hander now owns a 4.70 ERA to go with a 79:26 K:BB over 69.1 innings this season. Suero, along with the rest of the Nationals' bullpen, will need to be on top of their game moving forward if they expect the team to make any noise in the playoffs.

Suero (3-5) picked up the win in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Rockies, allowing one hit and striking out one in a scoreless seventh inning.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander hasn't been charged with a run in nine of his last 10 appearances, posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 8:4 K:BB with two wins and three holds in nine innings over that stretch. Suero's 4.96 ERA on the season remains weak, but his current performance and setup role for Sean Doolittle give him some fantasy appeal in deep formats that score holds.

Suero recorded his first save of the season while allowing one hit with one walk and one strikeout during the ninth inning of a 4-3 victory against the Braves on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
With Sean Dolittle having pitched each of the last two days, the Nationals turned to Suero in the ninth. This was Suero's first traditional save chance of the year, but he has blown two saves this season because of blown leads during the eighth. The Nationals will probably go with Suero again in a save situation if Doolittle needs rest, but Suero's numbers aren't good enough to roster in most formats. He is 1-4 with one save, 5.74 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 42 strikeouts in 31.1 innings this season.

Suero (1-4) struck out the side but gave up three runs on two hits and a walk in the eighth inning Thursday to blow his first save of the season and take the loss against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Getting a chance at high-leverage work after the Nats rallied to take the lead in the top of the eighth, Suero couldn't get the job done and served up a three-run homer to Carlos Gomez. The right-hander's 30:9 K:BB through 21.1 innings this season looks good, but it comes with an unsightly 7.17 ERA.

Suero gave up a run on one hit while striking out two in an inning of relief during Monday's loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander entered the game with two outs in the seventh inning and allowed an inherited runner to score, then Tony Sipp did the same to him in the eighth after Suero gave up a leadoff double to Orlando Arcia. The 27-year-old's 1.21 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB through 14 innings are solid, but they come with a ghastly 7.07 ERA, the product of a Nats relief corps that seems incapable of backing each other up -- the bullpen's 62.7 percent strand rate is the worst in the majors, and Suero's 37.5 percent rate makes him the worst of the worst.

Suero (1-0) tossed a perfect eighth inning Saturday to pick up the win in a 3-2 victory over the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander's 6.35 ERA so far is inflated, but Suero's 0.88 WHIP and 7:2 K:BB through 5.2 innings offer a better reflection of how he's been pitching. He'll continue working in middle relief for now, but further success could move him into a set-up role for the Nats.

Suero is expected to be included on the Nationals' Opening Day roster after the team demoted Austen Williams to Triple-A Fresno on Tuesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Suero and Justin Miller won out over Williams in a three-way battle for the final two spots available out of the bullpen. The 27-year-old righty reached the big leagues for the first time in 2018 and logged 40 appearances for Washington, churning out a 3.59 ERA and 47:15 K:BB in 47.2 innings. His usage will likely be limited to lower-leverage spots early on during the upcoming campaign.
