Nuno was traded to the Dodgers in exchange for catcher Carlos Ruiz on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Nuno enjoyed a decent 2016 campaign out of the Mariners bullpen thanks to outstanding control, although his propensity to give up home runs pushed his ERA up to 3.53 by the season's conclusion. It's unclear where (or if) the left-hander will fit into the Dodgers pitching given the plethora of lefties already residing in their rotation and bullpen, but Nuno will likely have a fair shot to compete for a bullpen role out of spring training.

Nuno was drilled for 10 hits and six runs in three innings of relief Saturday at the White Sox. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The Mariners were down, 3-1, when Nuno entered, but he allowed the game to get ugly quickly with a four-spot in the fifth inning. He gave up three home runs, a triple and a double. Nuno had allowed two runs (and one homer) in his previous 18 outings covering 15 innings. It wasn't his night Saturday.

Nuno has allowed two runs over 12 innings and sports a 10:1 K:BB since July 1.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old southpaw has had a great first year out of the pen, posting a 2.86 ERA, and if you take away two appearances in June where he allowed six runs, his ERA drops to 1.82 ERA with a 1.06 WHIP over 38 outings.

Nuno allowed four runs on four hits and three walks in 3.1 innings Thursday in an emergency start after scheduled starter Arian Sampson was injured in pregame warmups. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Sampson injured his elbow on his second warmup pitch. So, Nuno was tabbed to start in his place. Nuno had pitched more than two innings twice this season before taking one for the team Thursday. He threw 68 pitches in a decent outing, all things considered.

Nuno will start Thursday's game against Detroit, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
In an odd turn of events, Thursday's scheduled starter, Adrian Sampson, was removed from the game before the first pitch was even thrown. According to Dutton, Sampson may have tweaked something during warmups before Thursday's contest. Regardless, Nuno will fill in as the spot starter Thursday, but he hasn't thrown more than 3.0 innings in any of his appearances this season. With that, Thursday could be a very taxing day for the Mariners bullpen on a getaway day.

Nuno, who has pitched more middle relief recently, will return to his role as the late-inning situational lefty, the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mike Montgomery was used in high-leverage situations recently but failed in that role. He'll go back to middle and long relief. Nuno has 12 strikeouts and no walks in 46 plate appearances against left-handed batters this season.

Nuno struck out four batters and allowed just one hit in 2.2 scoreless innings during Sunday's loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Nuno has been a key contributor to a dominant Seattle bullpen that has a collective ERA of 2.51. His 1.08 ERA and 0.78 WHIP have been made possible by his incredible ball control, as he has an astronomical 20.00 K/BB and 0.54 BB/9 after pitching 16.2 innings across 19 games. He's also given up just one home run this season, which is a relief to the Mariners, as his HR/9 in 2015 was 1.52.

Nuno has a 1.29 ERA and a 0.71 WHIP after playing seven innings over the course of seven games this season.
EDGE Analysis
After giving up one run in his first inning of the season, Nuno has yet to allow a run and has only given up three hits in the following outings. Teams are struggling to get baserunners against Nuno, as he has a 10.29 K/9 and zero walks thus far. Even though Nuno has historically had an unfavorable ERA, he has progressed in the right direction, bringing it down from 4.56 in 2014 to 3.74 in 2015. If he continues his current streak of dominant relief showings, it's plausible to believe that Nuno could become a more frequent contributor from the Mariners' bullpen.

Nuno hasn't pitched great this spring, but he's a lock for a left-handed bullpen job, especially with lefty Charlie Furbush injured.
EDGE Analysis
Nuno has allowed six runs and five walks in 12.1 spring innings. He has nine strikeouts, though. And he had not allowed a home run, often a problem for him, until Sunday. The Mariners are short on left-handers, so Nuno likely will pitch in a setup role, at least until Furbush returns.

Nuno allowed three runs on six hits over five innings in a no decision Tuesday against the Astros. He struck out five and didn't walk a batter.
EDGE Analysis
As has been the case all year for Nuno, he pitched well other than allowing a home run. The gopher ball was his 14th allowed in just nine starts, and his 1.52 HR/9 is the main thing keeping Nuno from turning into a quality pitcher. He has been good enough when keeping the ball in the yard to still own a 3.80 ERA, but time is running out for the 28-year-old to prove he can fix this problem. He has a 1.4 HR/9 in parts of three major league seasons.
