Pill was sent to the Dodgers for cash considerations Tuesday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pill reached the major leagues for the first time last season, throwing 22 innings for the Mets. He recorded a 5.32 ERA, walking 10.1 percent of batters while striking out just 16.2 percent.

Pill (elbow) recorded an out and failed to give up a run on one walk while striking out a batter Monday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Pill made his first spring training appearance after undergoing elbow surgery back in August of 2017. Although he made his major-league debut last season with the Mets, he's likely a long shot to make the Opening Day roster. Pill figures to start the season somewhere in the upper minors where he'll have little value to fantasy owners.

The Diamondbacks signed Pill (elbow) to a minor-league contract Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Arizona has already assigned Pill to its Triple-A affiliate at Reno, so it doesn't sound like the 27-year-old will work out with the big club during spring training. Pill, who made seven appearances (three starts) with the Mets last season when a rash of injuries hit the team's pitching staff, finished with a 5.32 ERA and 1.45 WHIP across 22 innings. He'll likely function as starting depth in the upper minors for the Diamondbacks, but his lack of a 40-man roster spot puts him low in the organizational pecking order for a potential look in the big-league rotation.

Pill underwent arthroscopic elbow surgery Wednesday, James Wagner of The New York Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pill was placed on the minor-league disabled list at the beginning on this month, and will spend the rest of the 2017 campaign on the shelf after undergoing elbow surgery Wednesday. During seven games with the Mets this year, the right-hander compiled a 5.32 ERA and 1.45 WHIP over 22 innings.

Pill was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Brandon Nimmo (chest) was activated in a corresponding move. Pill's latest stint with the big club was similar to his prior two, as he had a decent outing following by a poor one. For the season, the 27-year-old has a 5.32 ERA and 1.45 WHIP over 22 innings with the Mets. He figures to be back eventually, but it's hard to imagine Pill being tasked with anything besides mop-up duty.

Pill was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
With Zack Wheeler (arm) being placed on the disabled list, the Mets needed a fresh arm to slot into the starting rotation. Pill will head back to the big leagues to take his spot as he looks to continue providing serviceable innings for the Mets. In three starts and two relief appearances in the majors this year, the 27-year-old holds a 5.00 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP.

Pill was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
He had been in the running to make another start with Zack Wheeler (biceps) on the shelf, but the Mets will instead turn to Rafael Montero to start in his place. Pill was roughed up for five runs over six innings in his spot start against the Dodgers on Wednesday. He'll head back to Las Vegas and could be an option to return as a spot starter should the Mets incur another injury to the rotation.

Pill (0-3) gave up six runs (five earned) on five hits and three walks -- two of them intentional -- over six innings in Wednesday's loss to the Dodgers. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Called up to make this start, he got burned by a pair of homers, particularly Yasiel Puig's three-run shot in the fourth. A soft-tossing righty, Pill has not been particularly effective in the majors this season. If the Mets can find an alternative to fill a spot in their injury-ravaged rotation, he'll surely be the first to get bumped.

Pill was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Pill will be summoned from the minors to start Wednesday's game against the Dodgers. He'll face off with Dodgers left-hander Rich Hill. To make room for Pill on the active roster, Zack Wheeler (biceps) was placed on the DL and Matt Reynolds was sent back to the minors.

Updating an earlier report, Pill was confirmed as the starter for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Rafael Montero unavailable to pitch after being used as a long relief option Monday night, Pill will be recalled from Triple-A ahead of Wednesday's contest. He owns a 3.48 ERA and 8:3 K:BB in two big-league starts (10.1 innings) earlier in the year. It will be a tough matchup for the 27-year-old, as the Dodgers own a .330 wOBA against righties this season, the seventh best mark in the league.
