Fitzgerald went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 8-2 loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Fitzgerald got the Giants on the board in the seventh inning. He has often found his way into the lineup versus southpaws while also serving as a right-handed bench bat. The utility man is batting .269 with a homer, four stolen bases, three RBI, five runs scored, two doubles and a triple over 28 plate appearances.

Fitzgerald went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Fitzgerald spelled Thairo Estrada at second base for this contest. After an unimpressive start to the season, Fitzgerlad has four steals over his last five games while going 5-for-12 with three extra-base hits in that span. The 26-year-old provides cover around the infield and can also play in center, though the Giants' outfield hasn't varied much this season. Fitzgerald doesn't have an obvious path to playing time in the Giants' righty-heavy infield, so he's likely to remain a utility player unless he commands a larger role with his hitting.

Fitzgerald went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, an RBI and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 7-1 win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Making just his second start of the season and first in center field, Fitzgerald flashed his speed against a makeshift battery of Patrick Corbin and catcher Drew Millas, who was called up by the Nats ahead of the game with Keibert Ruiz feeling under the weather. The bottom of the Giants' batting order drove the offense in this one, as Nick Ahmed (the No. 8 hitter) and Fitzgerald (No. 9) combined for half of the team's 12 hits, both its extra-base hits and eight total runs plus RBI. Fitzgerald went 34-for-37 on steal attempts across all levels in 2023 and slashed .292/.365/.511 over 121 games between Double-A and Triple-A, so if he can carve out a consistent role as a super-utility player, he could have some surprising fantasy value.

Fitzgerald has gone 3-for-16 with a home run, four RBI, four walks, a stolen base and three runs scored over eight Cactus League games.
EDGE Analysis
Fitzgerald has a crowded path to the majors, especially after the Giants signed Jorge Soler and Matt Chapman. Fitzgerald's best asset is versatility -- he can provide cover in the infield and in center field. Even then, Marco Luciano, Casey Schmitt or Nick Ahmed are more likely to get chances at shortstop, the Giants' most open position this spring. The 26-year-old Fitzgerald hit .219 over 10 games in the majors last season, but he'll likely need to bide his time at Triple-A Sacramento again in 2024.

Fitzgerald went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Fitzgerald opened the scoring with a third-inning blast off Clayton Kershaw. This was Fitzgerald's second homer and fourth extra-base hit over his first nine big-league games. He's hitting .250 with a 2:8 BB:K and two stolen bases in his brief audition. The versatile 26-year-old could get a long look in spring training in 2024.

Fitzgerald went 1-for-3 with a walk, one RBI and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 5-2 extra-inning loss to the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
The pair of steals were Fitzgerald's first thefts in the majors. He's hitting .273 (6-for-22) with two walks, one home run, four RBI and two runs scored across his first seven big-league games. He's been a steady presence in center field and should close out the year in a starting role.

Fitzgerald went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-1 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Fitzgerald's ninth-inning blast produced the final score, giving the Giants a little more breathing room against their rivals. He's gone 2-for-6 with a walk and three RBI over his first two major-league games. Fitzgerald split time between Double-A Richmond and Triple-A Sacramento this year, posting a combined .292/.365/.511 slash line with 22 home runs, 78 RBI, 87 runs scored, 32 stolen bases, 26 doubles and seven triples through 121 minor-league contests. While a natural infielder, he's made his first two big-league starts in center field, which could be bad news for Mitch Haniger and Michael Conforto over the last week-plus of the season.

Fitzgerald is starting in center field and batting ninth Friday versus the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
It's the second straight start in center for Fitzgerald, who hit a double and drew a bases-loaded walk in his major-league debut Thursday at Dodger Stadium. Prior to his promotion to the Giants, the versatile 26-year-old had posted a shiny .292/.365/.511 batting line with 22 homers and 32 steals in 121 games this season between Double-A Richmond and Triple-A Sacramento.
