Troy Tulowitzki (shoulder) is only expected to miss a game or two. Tulowitzki left Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks after straining his left rotator cuff on a slide at home plate. "Obviously, I was worried when it happened. It kept tightening up," Tulowitzki told reporters on Sunday night. "But I am definitely more confident about it now. Other than losing the game, I am sitting here taking a deep breath and expressing a sigh of relief that I am going to be OK."

Troy Tulowitzki is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Braves. Tulo played both games of Tuesday's doubleheader, so it appears he's just getting a breather. Jonathan Herrera will start at shortstop.

Troy Tulowitzki slugged a decisive two-run homer in Friday's 3-1 win over the Diamondbacks. Jhoulys Chacin, Wilton Lopez, Rex Brothers and Rafael Betancourt combined to hold the Diamondbacks to just one run, so Tulo's fourth-inning blast ended up being the difference in the ballgame. It was one of just three hits for the Rockies on the night. Tulowitzki now has five home runs and 15 RBI through 15 games this season after collecting only eight bombs and 27 RBI in 47 games during his injury-shortened season last year.

Troy Tulowitzki went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Thursday's blowout win over the Mets. Tulo had an RBI single in the sixth and a solo homer in the eighth. He also drew a walk and scored two times. He already has four homers in 14 games this season after amassing just eight in 47 games last season. He's the class of the shortstop position when healthy.

Troy Tulowitzki (elbow) is in the Rockies' starting lineup on Thursday afternoon against the Mets. Tulo was held out of the second half of Tuesday's doubleheader after getting hit by a pitch in the first game. Wednesday was a "snowout" so he had time to heal.

Troy Tulowitzki is not in the Rockies' lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mets. Tulo was hit by a pitch on his left elbow in the first game. He stayed in for the rest of the contest and is expected to be fine, but the Rockies will hold him out as a precautionary measure. Reid Brignac is starting at shortstop.

Troy Tulowitzki hit his second home run of the season as the Rockies downed the Brewers on Tuesday. The home run, a solo shot in the third inning, was Tulowitzki's only hit of the game. He registered only 181 at-bats last season as he battled with injuries, but when he's healthy he's capable of putting up big numbers -- the 28-year-old shortstop averaged 29 home runs and 97 RBI in the three seasons prior to 2012. He's at the top of the shortstop class when he's on the field.

Troy Tulowitzki went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in Monday's season-opening loss to the Brewers. That's what we like to see. Tulo was limited to 47 games last season due to a groin injury and hasn't played more than 143 games in a season since 2009, so his health will always be a question, but there's no denying that he's capable of delivering first-round value when he's in the lineup. Carlos Gonzalez and Dexter Fowler also went deep in the extra-inning loss.

According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Cardinals "have not called the Rockies" about Troy Tulowitzki. Heyman adds that the Rockies have "no interest in trading Tulo anyway." The Cardinals need a shortstop badly and have the kind of pitching prospects that the Rox desire, but it's very rare for a star to be traded during spring training. The Rockies are trying to sell tickets right now. The idea can be revisited this summer.
