Troy Renck of the Denver Post was told by a Rockies source Monday that "nothing has changed" regarding their stance that they will not trade Troy Tulowitzki.
Renck adds that the club will "listen to the Cardinals as due diligence." Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports reported Sunday that the Cards will talk to the Rockies about Tulo at this week's GM meetings, with St. Louis considering him their "preference" as they look to upgrade at shortstop. Colorado seems intent to keep their star shortstop, but the Cards have the young talent to possibly change their minds.

Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports that the Cardinals and Rockies are expected to meet during baseball's general manager meetings this week to discuss a potential trade involving superstar shortstop Troy Tulowitzki.
The Cardinals seem adamant about acquiring a shortstop through trade this offseason, and have made it known that they're willing to deal some of their phenomenal young starting pitching to get a deal done. While the Rockies have publicly stated that they have no desire to trade Tulowitzki, the Cardinals certainly have the requisite pieces to make them reconsider. Tulowitzki has a no-trade clause and would need to approve of any deal, but the prevailing knowledge is that he'd like to play for a winner.

Rockies owner Dick Monfort said Wednesday that he doesn't plan to trade Troy Tulowitzki or Carlos Gonzalez.
"The plan is to keep them. Next year, yes. And my plan is to always keep them," Monfort said. "Is that the smartest thing in the world to do? I don't know. But for our fans I think it's the best thing to do." While he didn't exactly totally rule out the possible, it sounds like, at the very least, neither player will be dealt this offseason. "I love those two guys," Monfort added. "And if they ever get on a tear ... In Tampa Bay, every once in a while, Evan Longoria just carries them and we have two guys who can carry a team."

Troy Renck of the Denver Post writes that it's an "extremely slim possibility" Troy Tulowitzki or Carlos Gonzalez are traded over the offseason.
He adds that the Rockies are "not shopping" either player and "have not called teams about them." Renck says that the Cardinals are expected to pursue Tulowitzki over the winter and that they have the prospects to get a deal done. A deal doesn't seem likely, though. Tulo has $134 million remaining on his contract, while CarGo is still owed $63.5 million.

Troy Tulowitzki went 3-for-5 with two runs scored in a win against the Diamondbacks on Friday.
Tulo entered the game in a prolonged funk, going 5-for-32 (.156) since the last game of August, a span of 10 games. The veteran shortstop suffered through an oblique injury late last month and he may still be recovering from it. Tulowitzki didn't hit an extra-base hit on Friday and hasn't smacked a home run since August 20.

Troy Tulowitzki is out of the Rockies' lineup on Monday against the Dodgers due to leg soreness.
It's not a serious concern and Tulowitzki should be back in action on Tuesday night. He's hitting .317/.390/.558 with 22 homers and 68 RBI in 104 games this year.

Troy Tulowitzki (oblique) is back in the Rockies' lineup Tuesday.
Tulo sat out the last two games with a tweaked oblique, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go. The shortstop returns to a .315/.386/.568 batting line with 22 homers over 99 games this season.

Troy Tulowitzki (side) is out of the Rockies' lineup again Monday against the Giants.
Tulo hasn't played since he experienced some soreness in his side during a swing on Saturday. The injury is not expected to require a stint on the disabled list, but the Rockies are going to take it easy with their star shortstop.

Troy Renck of the Denver Post hears that Troy Tulowitzki's oblique injury isn't considered to be a big deal.
He notes, though, that the Rockies "have to be careful" because Tulo has had a similar injury in the same area before. The shortstop might miss a few more games, but it doesn't appear that the disabled list will be necessary.
