Troy Tulowitzki went 3-for-3 with a double and solo home run as the Rockies defeated the White Sox 8-1 on Monday. He also walked and scored a pair of runs. Since going 0-for-4 on Opening Day, Tulo has hit safely in six straight games and drawn a walk in five straight. In between all that raking, the stud shortstop was given a mandatory day off on Saturday. The Rockies don't figure to give him many more breathers going forward.

Troy Tulowitzki went 1-for-3 with a solo home run as the Rockies defeated the Royals 8-2 on Monday. Tulowitzki took Jeremy Guthrie deep in the second inning, his third blast of the spring. The shortstop is only hitting .160 in 25 at-bats, but he has been drawing walks and hitting for power otherwise, which should ease any concerns about his production.

Troy Tulowitzki went 0-for-3 against the Padres on Monday. It was Tulowitzki's first game back since being hit in the leg by Wade Miley. He grounded into a double play, struck out, and flied out. The Rockies aren't concerned about the results, though; they are simply happy that he was well enough to play. Prior reports had indicated the shortstop might have needed to wait until Wednesday to return.

Troy Tulowitzki (shin) is expected to return to the Rockies' lineup on Wednesday. Tulo ran and took ground balls Saturday with no issues. The shortstop is working his way back from a bruised left shin, which he suffered when he was hit by a pitch last Wednesday.

Troy Tulowitzki (calf, fibula) was able to take ground balls and do light running on Saturday. Tulowitzki still feels fluid and inflammation in his calf, but is close to returning to Cactus League action. The oft-injured superstar shortstop shouldn't have any problem being ready for Opening Day, but is a strong candidate to hit the disabled list at some point during the season.

Troy Tulowitzki (calf, fibula) is expected to miss at least a few days. Tulowitzki left Wednesday's Cactus League game against the Diamondbacks after he was hit in the left leg by a pitch. X-rays came back negative, but he's dealing with a deep calf bruise and will rest in order to let the inflammation go down.

X-rays on Troy Tulowitzki's calf and fibula came back negative. Tulowitzki got hit by a Wade Miley pitch in the left leg and left the game as a precaution. Tulo was diagnosed with a bruise, and he'll be day to day for the next few days. The Rockies will likely err on the side of caution with their star shortstop, so it could be a few days before he's inserted back into the starting lineup.

Troy Tulowitzki left Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks after being hit in the left leg by a pitch. Tulowitzki immediately left the game but walked off on his own, suggesting it may just be a precautionary measure. The shortstop went straight to the Rockies' clubhouse after leaving. While it doesn't seem serious, nothing can ever be assumed with the injury-ridden 29-year-old.

Troy Tulowitzki blasted a pair of home runs on Friday, powering the Rockies to a 7-2 victory over the Angels in Cactus League play. Tulowitzki got the Rockies on the board in the first inning when he deposited the first Joe Blanton offering he saw deep onto lawn beyond the left field wall. He topped that shot with an even longer drive left-center when he squared off against Blanton again in the third inning. While he carries significant injury risk, he remains one of the truly elite offensive options at shortstop provided he can remain on the field.

Rockies assistant GM Bill Geivett said Tuesday that he hasn't spoken to the Cardinals about Troy Tulowitzki. Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports reported Sunday that the Cardinals and Rockies will talk about a Tulowitzki trade at this week's GM meetings. That could still happen, but it hasn't yet and Geivett told Troy Renck of the Denver Post on Tuesday that Tulo is "not going anywhere." St. Louis may have to explore other options for a shortstop upgrade.
