Bauer (9-7) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks across 6.2 innings to earn the win Thursday against the Tigers. He struck out 10.
EDGE Analysis
Bauer worked up to 120 pitches, throwing 75 percent for strikes as he notched double-digit punchouts for the sixth time this season. He never really got into trouble and was only scored upon via a solo home run in the second inning and a two-run shot in the third. Bauer has seemingly moved on from a pair of recent outings in which he allowed five runs, notching three quality starts in as many turns since. He'll look to continue his recent success next week in Toronto.

Bauer (6-6) picked up the win in Wednesday's 5-3 victory over the Royals, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over 6.2 innings while striking out a season-high 12.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander took a no-hitter into the fifth inning before Humberto Arteaga slapped a single the other way with two outs to break it up. Bauer threw a whopping 127 pitches (79 strikes) on the afternoon, but with off days coming Thursday and Monday on either side of a weekend series in Baltimore, Cleveland will have an opportunity to get him a little extra rest before he takes the mound again. Bauer now sports a 3.55 ERA and 134:47 K:BB through 119 innings.

Bauer surrendered five runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out five over four innings in a no-decision Friday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Bauer was dominant against the Tigers in his last start, blanking them through nine innings, but he was unable to find the same success Friday night. He allowed one run in the second inning, one in the third, one in the fourth and two in the fifth prior to being removed. Despite this, Bauer managed to wiggle off the hook for the loss. The 28-year-old owns a 3.69 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with a 122:46 K:BB over 112.1 innings this year.

Bauer allowed one earned run on six hits and five walks while striking out six across 7.2 innings Tuesday against the Reds. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Despite preventing runs effectively, Bauer showcased a mixed bag in terms of underlying skill in Tuesday's start. Positively, he didn't allow a home run for only the third time in his last 10 starts. However, he handed out five free passes -- bringing his season long mark to 4.1 BB/9 -- and generated only nine swinging strikes on 118 total pitches. While surrendering too many homers and free passes, Bauer has still maintained a 3.71 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with 109 strikeouts across 99.1 innings for the season. He'll draw a road matchup against Detroit in his next start, currently scheduled for Sunday.

Bauer (4-6) Allowed five runs on five hits and three walks across eight innings to take the loss Thursday against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Bauer was terrorized by Max Kepler, who accounted for four runs with a trio of homers. Other than that he pitched quite effectively and worked up to 119 pitches as he tied his longest outing of the season. Bauer has hit a lull over his last five starts, posting an 0-4 record and a 5.91 ERA. He'll look to get back on track in his next start ag home against the Reds.
