Turner (hamstring) was removed from the disabled list on Friday, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turner has not seen game action since going down on April 8, but it appears that will be changing very soon. Despite being activated Friday, it should also be noted that he is not in Washington's lineup for Friday's game against the Mets.

Turner (hamstring) is expected to come off the disabled list Friday, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although it looks like Turner will come off the DL on Friday, manager Dusty Baker said it's unlikely that he'll start Turner for the team's series-opener against the Mets. However, Turner was fully active in an extended spring training game Wednesday, so he should be taking the field for the big club very soon.

Turner (hamstring) played shortstop Wednesday during an extended spring training game and stole a base, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports. "I had urged him not to try to steal, but when running's in your blood, it's in your blood," Nationals manager Dusty Baker said. "Hopefully he'll be back in a couple days."
EDGE Analysis
It seems safe to say Turner's hamstring is feeling just fine. Expect him back in the Nats' starting lineup by the weekend.

Turner (hamstring) is expected to continue working out at the Nationals' extended spring training facility rather than heading out on a rehab assignment in the minors, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turner is eligible to return from the 10-day disabled list Wednesday, but the Nationals stated earlier in the week that they wanted him to take part in a brief rehab assignment before rejoining the big club, likely at some point over the weekend. However, with poor weather scheduled to hit many of the team's affiliates in the coming days, the Nationals are instead planning on just having Turner remain in Florida. He'll likely take part in some fielding, hitting and running drills and perhaps log some at-bats in simulated games before the Nationals determine he's ready for activation. Once back with the big club, he'll take back his starting role at shortstop from Wilmer Difo.

Turner (hamstring) will be sent out on a short rehab assignment, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Dusty Baker confirmed that Turner will not be activated from the DL on Wednesday, when first eligible. Turner seems to be progressing well in his recovery from a hamstring strain, as he ran sprints on the field prior to Sunday's game and advanced to running the bases Tuesday. A return before the end of the weekend series against the Mets seems possible.

Turner (hamstring) is running the bases in an effort to test his hamstring, Mark Zuckerman of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Over the past week, the speedy infielder has been ramping up his running work, and it's seeming more and more likely each day that he could return to the lineup Wednesday after the minimum 10-day absence. Nothing is set in stone as of now, and even though things are looking up, keep an eye on Turner's status heading into Wednesday's contest with Atlanta.

Turner (hamstring) believes he's ahead of schedule and should be ready to come off the DL when first eligible Wednesday, MLB.com's Jamal Collier reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turner was seen running sprints in advance of Sunday's game, and later proceeded to take batting practice and perform fielding drills for the second day in a row. He'll likely be active in pregame warmups early in the week, and although the team hasn't confirmed it, a Wednesday return is looking more and more likely.

Turner (hamstring) was spotted running sprints in advance of Sunday's matchup against the Phillies, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's another good sign for Turner, who was able to take batting practice and perform defensive drills before Saturday's game. The team has yet to commit to a Wednesday activation, but it seems as if Turner could be back in action as soon as he's eligible.

Turner (hamstring) took batting practice Friday and had to be shooed off the field afterwards by third base coach Bobby Henley before he could get in many reps on defense, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
All signs point to Turner being ready to come off the disabled list Wednesday after the minimum 10 days, but manager Dusty Baker won't yet commit to that timetable. "He hit the other day, and said he felt pretty good. He's been getting a lot of treatment, riding the bike, and running as tolerated," Baker said. "So my experience with hamstrings is whenever they tell you they're ready, I believe in giving them another couple days." In fantasy leagues with weekly transactions, GMs with shares in Turner might face a tough choice on whether to activate him after this weekend or play it safe and wait until the following week, but either way the 23-year-old looks set to be back at the top of the Nats' batting order very soon.

Turner (hamstring) is expected to return from the DL once he becomes eligible, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Dusty Baker said that the implementation of the 10-day disabled list aided in the decision to move Turner to the DL, as the team is optimistic that he won't need to miss extra time. Baker also stated that there was concern that the hamstring strain could linger throughout the season had Turner not been rested right away, which led to Washington erring on the side of caution with the young star.
