Athletics signed RHP Travis Schlichting to a minor league contract. Schlichting held an ugly 7.10 ERA in 51 games last season for Triple-A Albuquerque in the Dodgers organization. He was decent for them at the major league level for 14 appearances in 2010, though, and will offer the A's some organizational depth.
