Travis Hafner will undergo an MRI on his right shoulder Saturday. Hafner has been dealing with shoulder soreness and will be reevaluated prior to Saturday's game. The results of the MRI will determine if he needs to be placed on the disabled list.

Travis Hafner went 0-for-2 with a walk on Monday and is 0-for-9 so far in the second half. Tonight's 0-for dropped Hafner's OPS under .700 for the season, that even though he came in at 1.104 during April. If the Yankees had anyone in the minors banging down the door, Hafner would probably get his walking papers. As is, they lack much in the way of alternatives.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Saturday that Travis Hafner (foot) is fine. Hafner injured his left foot while hitting off a pitching machine Wednesday, but he's been available the last two days and delivered a pinch-hit double Saturday. He's likely to start at DH on Sunday against Twins righty Kyle Gibson.

Travis Hafner went 1-for-3 with a home run in Sunday's win over the Angels. Hafner walked in his first plate appearance and hit a three-run shot of Jered Weaver in the third inning. It was his first home run since June 5. Hafner is batting just .052 (1-for-19) over his last seven games.

Travis Hafner had his fourth straight hitless game Wednesday, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Hafner is 4-for-27 this month, and he's batting .170 in 94 at-bats since the beginning of May. If the Yankees ever do get healthy, one wonders if there will still be a role for Hafner after the All-Star break.

Travis Hafner is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Indians. Not a huge surprise with Scott Kazmir on the hill for Cleveland. Robinson Cano is serving as the DH on Tuesday while David Adams plays second base.

Travis Hafner had a pair of RBI singles in Tuesday's loss to the Orioles. Hafner plated runs in the first and fourth innings, but they were the only tallies the Yankees could muster in the extra innings loss. Pronk dealt with a shoulder issue last week, but he appears to be fine now, having homered twice and driven in two runs in each of his three games since returning to action.
