Travis d'Arnaud Avoids Arbitration rotoballer.com Sun 12/23/18 12:44 PM
New York Mets catcher Travis D'Arnaud avoided salary arbitration on Saturday by agreeing to a one-year, $3.515 million deal. d'Arnaud continues to be plagued by injuries and only played in four games last year for the Mets. As a result, New York brought in Wilson Ramos to be the primary catcher in 2019. That means that d'Arnaud will only be an option in two-catcher leagues unless Ramos is injured.
Mets To Keep Travis d'Arnaud Around rotoballer.com Fri 11/30/18 3:54 PM
The New York Mets are planning to tender a contract to catcher Travis D'Arnaud, according to a source. d'Arnaud is coming off Tommy John surgery and hit just .200/.250/.400 in 15 at-bats for the team this season. They haven't given up on him just yet, but most fantasy owners probably have after he fails to impress while also consistently dealing with injuries. Tomas Nido and Kevin Plawecki are also on roster, but don't be surprised if the Mets add another catcher to split time with d'Arnaud i[...]

New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud successfully underwent Tommy John surgery on Tuesday morning, according to Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News. D'Arnaud will miss the rest of the 2018 season, though he should be fully healed up by the time 2019 rolls around. D'Arnaud's platoon-mate, Kevin Plawecki, is also out of action for a few weeks with a hand injury, resulting in the team rolling with Tomas Nido and Jose Lobaton at the position for now. However, we know the team is exploring the[...]
Travis d’Arnaud To Undergo Tommy John Surgery rotoballer.com Fri 4/13/18 11:21 AM
On Thursday, New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud (elbow) was diagnosed with a partially torn UCL. There had been some thought that d'Arnaud may opt for rehab instead of Tommy John surgery, but alas, that is not the case. d'Arnaud has elected to undergo the surgery, which will sideline him for the rest of the season. Kevin Plawecki (hand) should take over the primary catching duties upon his return in two to three weeks, but in the interim, it'll be some combination of Tomas Nido and Jose Loba[...]
Travis d’Arnaud Undecided On Tommy John Surgery rotoballer.com Thu 4/12/18 1:31 PM
As reported yesterday, New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud has a partially torn UCL, meaning Tommy John surgery is on the table. Of course, that would end d'Arnaud's season in what would be yet another tragic injury for the former top catching prospect. D'Arnaud, though, remains undecided about what his next move is. At this point, we aren't sure if d'Arnaud is simply taking his time making a decision, or if he's undergoing any additional testing to possibly become more informed as to the exte[...]
Travis d’Arnaud Has Partially Torn UCL rotoballer.com Wed 4/11/18 10:47 AM
New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud has been diagnosed with a partially torn UCL in his right elbow and has been placed on the 10-day disabled list. There are no other updates at this time, but it seems entirely possible that d'Arnaud may end up undergoing season-ending Tommy John surgery. It's yet another bad injury in what has become a history of them for the 29-year-old. His healthiest season was in 2014 where he still only amassed 421 plate appearances. He wasn't exactly off to a hot start[...]

New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud avoided salary arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $3.475 million deal, according to a source. 2017 was a bounce-back year for d'Arnaud thanks to better health, and he managed 16 home runs and 57 RBI in 112 games, but his average and on-base percentage leave a lot to be desired, and at this point, he may be a better defensive asset than offensive one, although he can provide help to owners in homers and RBI.Keep on reading: Mets, Travis d'Arnaud Avoid Arbitration
