Gonsolin allowed five runs on three hits and three walks while striking out seven over 4.1 innings Tuesday as he was charged with the loss in Game 2 of the NLCS against Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin started Game 2 on short notice and held Atlanta's potent offense in check over the first three innings. However, he faltered over the fourth and fifth innings prior to his removal. The right-hander was forced to settle for the loss in his first postseason appearance, but he had a relatively high strikeout rate during his start. It's unclear whether Gonsolin could start later in the postseason.

Gonsolin will start Game 2 of the NLCS against the Braves on Tuesday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin will step in to replace Clayton Kershaw, who was scratched due to back spasms. It will be his first career postseason appearance. Gonsolin is coming off a regular season in which he recorded a 2.31 ERA in eight starts and one relief appearance, striking out 26.1 percent of opposing batters while walking just 4.0 percent.

Gonsolin (2-2) earned the win Saturday against the Angels. He allowed four runs on seven hits while fanning six across six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin gave up a season-worst four runs in his final start of the regular season, but he still earned the win as the offense backed him up. Gonsolin ends the regular season with a 2.31 ERA and 0.84 WHIP in nine appearances (eight starts), besting what he did during the 2019 season when he posted a 2.93 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP across 11 appearances (six starts).

Gonsolin (1-2) was tagged with the loss Sunday against the Rockies, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk across five innings. He struck out 10.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin appeared to be on his way to a dominant outing after striking out each of the first six Rockies he faced. The right-hander ran into trouble in the fourth, however, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk. He bounced back to finish the start with a three up, three down fifth. Despite falling to 1-2, Gonsolin has been a pleasant surprise for the Dodgers this season, posting a robust 1.77 ERA and 40:7 K:BB across 40.2 innings. He's slated to make his final regular-season start Saturday against the Angels.

Gonsolin (1-1) allowed a run on four hits and struck out two over seven innings in a win over the Padres on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
While he wasn't fanning many batters, Gonsolin did a good job of limiting any potential damage. The 26-year-old now has a 1.51 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 30 strikeouts in 35.2 innings across seven outings (six starts). Gonsolin should remain in the rotation a bit longer with Walker Buehler (finger) out. Gonsolin's next start is expected to be Sunday in Colorado.

Gonsolin will rejoin the Dodgers' starting rotation next week, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old covered five innings out of the bullpen Thursday after Dustin May exited with a foot injury, so his next start won't come before Tuesday. Regardless of May's status for his next start, the placement of Walker Buehler (finger) on the injured list opens up a rotation spot. Gonsolin has a 1.57 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB over 28.2 innings through six outings this season.

Manager Dave Roberts announced Thursday that Gonsolin is currently considered available out of the bullpen, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although Roberts said Gonsolin is available out of the bullpen if needed, the right-hander seems to be a strong candidate to start Sunday's game against the Astros. Gonsolin holds a stellar 0.76 ERA across 23.2 innings pitched on the campaign.

Gonsolin pitched six innings against Colorado on Saturday, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits while striking out eight. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin has yet to record a decision this season, but he has allowed only two earned runs through 23.2 innings while compiling an impressive 25:5 K:BB. He finally allowed his first long ball of the season Saturday -- a solo shot by Charlie Blackmon in the fourth inning -- but has given up only 12 hits en route to a sparkling 0.72 ERA. The right-hander has essentially forced the Dodgers to keep him in the rotation given his excellence on the campaign, and he'll get his next opportunity to toe the mound at home against Houston next Saturday.

Manager Dave Roberts indicated Sunday that Gonsolin will make his next start, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin has been moving up and down between the big-league club and the team's alternate training site through much of the season, but it appears that the right-hander is gaining stability in the rotation thanks to his excellent work thus far. While he has yet to pick up a win, Gonsolin has allowed only one earned run in 17.2 innings while posting a 0.79 WHIP and 17:5 K:BB on the season. It has not yet been announced when he will next take the mound or if another starter will get bumped from the rotation when Walker Buehler (hand) is activated from the injured list.

Gonsolin allowed one earned run on three hits and three walks while striking out five across three innings Sunday against the Rangers. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin needed only 23 pitches to get through two innings, but struggled mightily in the third frame. He allowed the first four batters he faced to reach base and surrendered a run on a wild pitch. While he limited the damage, the inefficiency cost him the chance to qualify for a win. Assuming Walker Buehler (hand) is able to make his next start, Gonsolin is a likely candidate to be bumped from the rotation once again.
