Tom Gorzelanny tossed seven innings of one-run ball in a tough-luck loss to the White Sox on Saturday.
Gorzelanny allowed a sacrifice fly to Carlos Quentin in the bottom of the first, but held the White Sox scoreless the rest of the way. He obviously deserved a better fate, but at least he gave the bullpen a break. The southpaw matched a season-high with eight strikeouts in the loss. He'll hope for more run support against the Pirates next week.

Tom Gorzelanny got roughed up by the Orioles in his return from the disabled list on Sunday, allowing five runs (four earned) on 10 hits in just 4 2/3 innings of a Nationals loss.
He struck out zero while walking one. Gorzelanny could just never get into a groove this afternoon, allowing at least one run in every frame but the first before getting pulled in the fifth. Hopefully he'll look better next weekend, where he's set to take on the White Sox in Chicago.
