Nido (concussion) was reinstated from the 7-day injured list ahead of Sunday's game against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Nido had been symptom-free for a handful of days since he suffered his concussion back on Aug. 24. He'll slot back in as the No. 2 catcher on the depth chart behind Wilson Ramos.

Nido has been placed on the seven-day injured list after entering concussion protocol, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nido was hit in the head on the backswing of Josh Donaldson and was forced to exit Friday's contest. He's apparently experienced concussion symptoms since, and he'll head to the injured list. Rene Rivera is expected to join the big-league club in Nido's absence.

Nido went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs Sunday in the Mets' 11-5 win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Nido's first double of the game came in the seventh inning and ended an 0-for-24 stretch for the backup catcher. While his performance in the series finale was an encouraging step forward, Nido isn't expected to eat into Wilson Ramos' playing time very much while the Mets remain in the hunt for a wild-card spot.

Nido will start at catcher and bat eighth Sunday against the Pirates, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll be making just his fifth start since the All-Star break with top backstop Wilson Ramos getting a day off after handling catching duties each of the past four days. Nido offers a defensive upgrade from Ramos, but his .602 OPS on the season renders him a rather unappealing DFS play.

Nido went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
His bases-loaded double in the fifth inning proved to be the game-winning hit for the Mets. Nido's picked up two hits in three of his last four starts and is slashing .333/.357/.481 over his last seven games, but that's a span that stretches all the way back to June 18 as he remains behind Wilson Ramos on the depth chart.

Nido went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old backup to Wilson Ramos has seen an uptick in his playing time recently, starting four of the last eight games, but Nido's .227/.250/.379 slash line on the year with three homers and seven RBI still doesn't make him much of a fantasy asset. It would likely take a Ramos injury to get Nido on the radar in most formats.

Nido went 1-for-2 with a walkoff solo home run in a 5-4 victory during the 13th inning against the Tigers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Entering as a pinch hitter in the 11th, Nido flew out during his first at-bat, but then he ended the game with a deep fly two frames later. This was only his second homer of the season, but both have come in his last six games. Nido is 6-for-31 (.194) with three extra-base hits, five RBI and two runs in 12 games this season.

Nido went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts before being lifted for Wilson Ramos in the seventh inning of Wednesday's win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets' backup catcher has gone 4-for-22 (.182) in May with nine strikeouts in eight games, although he does have a homer and two RBI. Barring an injury to Ramos, Nido's playing time and fantasy value will remain erratic at best.
