Rivera went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI in Friday's win over the A's.
EDGE Analysis
His bat's been a little sluggish coming out of the All-Star break, but while Rivera has a .259/.310/.407 slash line in his last eight games it comes with a homer and six RBI. With most of the Mets' veteran infielders seemingly on the block with the trade deadline approaching, Rivera figures to remain a fixture in the team's lineup for the remainder of the season.

Rivera is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Rivera was mashing the ball during the team's first series out of the All-Star break, but he's 0-for-7 over the past couple days against the Cardinals. He'll hit the bench for a night off, allowing Wilmer Flores to man the hot corner for the evening.

Rivera went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Friday's 14-2 rout of the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
The homer was his fifth of the season but third in seven July games, as Rivera continues to lock down the starting third base job for the Mets. The team's roster could look very different after the trade deadline, but the 28-year-old figures to remain in a prominent role somewhere on the infield regardless.

Rivera is not in the lineup Sunday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Rivera has been scorching hot as of late, batting .400 over the past 14 games, but he'll get a day off after Saturday's three-hit night. Matt Reynolds will pick up a start at the hot corner to replace him.

Rivera (leg) is in Wednesday's lineup against the Nationals, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rivera left Tuesday's contest with leg cramps, but it seems like a night of rest was enough to get him back to full health. He'll play third base and bat fifth, although given that inclement weather has already delayed the start of Wednesday's game, he may get more time to rest his leg than initially anticipated.

Rivera was removed early from Tuesday's game against the Nationals with leg cramps, James Wagner of The New York Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
This explains why Rivera was moving gingerly to first base while attempting to run out a grounder in the seventh inning. He'll be listed as day-to-day for now, but with an off-day approaching Thursday, the Mets could choose to give him a few days to rest before sliding him back into the lineup.

Rivera was removed from Tuesday's game against the Nationals with an apparent injury, Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rivera apparently looked a little hobbled after trying to hustle out a single in the seventh inning, and he was promptly removed before the bottom half of the frame. The move could have simply been precautionary given the Mets were down 9-2 at the time of his exit, but more should be known following the conclusion of the game. Rivera was 2-for-4 before Matt Reynolds came on to replace him.

Rivera went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
It was his fourth homer of the year and second in as many games, accounting for the Mets' only run on the day. Rivera's posted a .333/.345/.491 slash line over his last 17 games and should remain the team's starting third baseman at least until Neil Walker (hamstring) returns to action and causes another shuffle in the infield.

Rivera went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI against the Marlins on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He got the start at first base and delivered something resembling a first baseman's production. Rivera's hometown roots, solid stick, and ability to play all around the infield have made him a quality utility man for the Mets; if an injury to someone ahead of him on the depth chart ever affords him more consistent playing time, it's not hard to see him carving out some fantasy relevance.

Rivera will start at third base Wednesday against the Marlins, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
First baseman Lucas Duda is receiving the evening off with lefty Jeff Locke starting for the Marlins, so Wilmer Flores will man that position while opening up the hot corner for Rivera. It's only the second start in the last six games for Rivera, who had been seeing regular time at the keystone prior to that before Asdrubal Cabrera (thumb) was activated from the disabled list June 23.
