Steven Wright Could Start Rehab Assignment This Week rotoballer.com Sun 8/19/18 10:13 AM
Boston Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright (knee) could begin a rehab assignment as soon as this week. However, he's scheduled to pitch strictly in relief when he returns to the Red Sox, which saps any of his potential fantasy value.
Steven Wright Close To Rehab Assignment rotoballer.com Fri 8/17/18 2:30 PM
Boston Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright (knee) has already thrown a few bullpen sessions and could be nearing a rehab assignment. He went on the 10-day disabled list on June 26 after having a cartilage restoration procedure on his left knee last May. When the knuckleballer does return, it'll be in a relief role. He has a 2.25 ERA in six relief outings over 16 innings this year, so he'll be a valuable piece down the stretch. That won't include fantasy value, however.
Red Sox Taking Their Time With Steven Wright rotoballer.com Sat 7/7/18 9:50 AM
Boston Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright (knee) has been on the disabled list since June 26, and the team is doing their best to ease him back to full health. Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that Wright has not suffered a setback, instead, the team has just slowed him down. Cora maintained that the Red Sox are comfortable with their pitching staff and do not want to rush the knuckleballer back. [...]

ANALYSIS: Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Steven Wright received a PRP injection in his injured left knee on Monday and could rejoin the Red Sox rotation after the All-Star break. Wright could be very useful, especially with Drew Pomeranz's own rehab adventures going poorly.
The knuckleballer's 3.38 ERA has danced around his peripherals thus far (4.43 FIP, 4.61 xFIP, 4.73 SIERA), but that is not too unusual for these unortho[...]

Steven Wright Receives PRP Shot in Knee, Could Return Before All-St... rotoballer.com Mon 7/2/18 4:42 PM
Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Steven Wright (knee) received a PRP shot in his injured knee and manager Alex Cora believes Wright can return before the All-Star break. Wright was having a fantastic start to the season before a disastrous start in which he piled up 10 earned runs. Wright was originally eligible to return July 3rd but it seems like his return will be about two weeks out. Brian Johnson should hold his rotation spot until then.
Steven Wright Heads to Disabled List rotoballer.com Tue 6/26/18 12:08 PM
Boston Red Sox knuckleballer Steven Wright is heading to the disabled list with left knee inflammation. This is a big blow for the Red Sox as Wright has been filling in admirably for fellow starter Drew Pomeranz, who is also injured. Wright had an egregious effort last game which saw him give up 10 earned runs over 3 1/3 innings against the Seattle Mariners, but before that outing he had a 1.23 ERA over 46 2/3 innings on the year. [...]

ANALYSIS: Red Sox starting pitcher Steven Wright is a bit of a lone ranger in today's MLB landscape - he is the only active pitcher still fooling professional hitters throwing a pitch that averages just 74.2 MPH. That pitch, of course, is the famous knuckleball. Wright is throwing the knuckleball 84.9% of the time in 2018, and to say that the pitch is currently "on" is just a bit of an understatement. He has thrown a whopping [...]
Steven Wright Twirls Another Gem rotoballer.com Mon 6/11/18 6:56 PM
It looked like the Boston Red Sox would have a hole in their rotation in lieu of the Drew Pomeranz injury. After two immaculate starts from Steven Wright, that is clearly not the case. Wright was stellar again on Monday night against the Baltimore Orioles. He did not factor into the decision in a 2-0 victory. [...]
