Kwan (hamstring) is considered day-to-day after exiting Sunday's game against the Yankees, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan's hamstring cramped up following his second at-bat Sunday, and manager Terry Francona said the outfielder's removal was "preventative." Although the Guardians are optimistic that Kwan isn't dealing with a serious injury, they'll see how he feels after the team travels to Los Angeles. If the 24-year-old misses additional time, Oscar Mercado and Josh Naylor will likely see increased at-bats.

The Guardians announced that Kwan was removed in the third inning of Sunday's game against the Yankees due to right hamstring tightness, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports. Kwan went 0-for-2 before exiting the contest.
EDGE Analysis
The extent of Kwan's hamstring injury hasn't been revealed, and the Guardians could send him in for an MRI to confirm whether he's dealing with a strain. Even a Grade 1 strain would likely result in a trip to the injured list for Kwan, who has emerged as one of the early frontrunners for American League Rookie of the Year honors after slashing .341/.456/.500 through his first 57 plate appearances of the season. Ernie Clement came off the bench to replace Kwan in left field Sunday, but Oscar Mercado and Josh Naylor are more likely to be the primary beneficiaries if Kwan's injury forces him to miss time.

Kwan was removed from Sunday's game against the Yankees in the bottom of the third inning due to an apparent injury, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports. He went 0-for-2 before he was replaced by Ernie Clement.
EDGE Analysis
After crashing into the left-field wall late in Saturday's 5-4 loss, Kwan stayed in the game and cleared subsequent evaluations for a concussion after the contest. It's not clear if his early exit Sunday was a result of some late-arriving concussion symptoms, or if he was dealing with an unrelated illness or injury. Expect the Guardians to provide an update on the star rookie's condition after the game.

Kwan passed all concussion testing and will start in left field and bat second in Sunday's game against the Yankees, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan is still a bit banged up in the aftermath of Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Yankees after he ran hard into the outfield wall in the ninth inning while chasing down Isiah Kiner-Falefa's tie-breaking double. The rookie wasn't forced to exit the contest upon being evaluated by a trainer, however, and he looks as though he's still feeling well enough to play less than 24 hours later. Before hurting himself in the outfield, Kwan went 0-for-4 at the dish to snap a four-game hitting streak.

Kwan went 2-for-4 with a double in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan doubled in the first inning and reached third base but wasn't able to put Cleveland on the board. He later added a single in the fifth. The rookie outfielder was stuck in a 3-for-19 drought over his previous six games. He's now slashing .395/.510/.579 with six extra-base hits through his first 12 career MLB appearances.

Kwan isn't starting in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan has cooled off recently, going 0-for-11 with an RBI, a walk and two strikeouts in his last three appearances. Ernie Clement will start in left field and bat second in Wednesday's matinee.

Kwan is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan had an incredible start to the season and was in the lineup for the first eight games, though he's 0-for-11 over the past three contests and will head to the bench Sunday. Oscar Mercado and Franmil Reyes will start in the corner outfield spots for Cleveland in the series finale.

Kwan went 1-for-3 with a three-run triple, two walks and two runs scored in Monday's 10-7 victory over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan came around to score in the first and seventh innings before lacing a three-run triple in the eighth. The rookie outfielder has reached base 15 times in his first four career MLB games and is currently sporting an outrageous .789 OBP through 19 plate appearances. He obviously can't maintain this level of production, but Kwan is proving that his impressive 2021 minor-league campaign (.934 OPS in 341 plate appearances) and strong 2022 spring performance (.469 average in 32 at-bats) weren't flukes.

Kwan went 5-for-5 with a double and four runs Sunday in the Guardians' 17-3 win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
After hitting .469 in Cactus League play to earn a spot on the Guardians' Opening Day roster, Kwan has continued to keep raking in his first three big-league games. He was also hit by a pitch in Sunday's game, allowing him to reach base an incredible 12 times in his first 14 plate appearances. Kwan's on-base and contact-hitting skills are legitimate -- he posted strikeout rates below 11 percent at all three of his full-season stops in the minors -- but a lack of power and speed will cap his overall fantasy ceiling. That said, Kwan projects as an excellent source of batting average and runs, making him an ideal pickup in leagues where he's available for fantasy managers in need of help in those categories.

Kwan went 2-for-3 with a walk and a double in Saturday's 1-0 extra-inning loss to the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Guardians batters reached base only seven times the entire game -- on five hits, a walk and a HBP -- and Kwan accounted for nearly half of those trips. Not bad for a kid in his second career MLB game. The sample is a tiny one, but so far the 24-year-old has shown that his elite hit tool and sharp eye at the plate will play in the majors, as he's gone 3-for-5 with a 3:0 BB:K in those two games. Kwan could become a fixture near the top of the Cleveland order if he keeps this up.
