Selsky signed a minor-league contract with the Reds on Monday, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Selsky will serve as organizational depth for the Reds in 2018. He broke camp with the Red Sox in 2017, though he wound up making just eight appearances (going 1-for-9 with five strikeouts) before being sent back to Triple-A Pawtucket, where he finished out the season hitting .215/.270/.360 across 79 games.

Selsky was released by the Red Sox on Sunday, Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
Selsky was assigned to minor-league camp in March and mostly spent 2017 at Triple-A Pawtucket, though he made eight appearances with Boston. The 28-year-old will look to catch on as depth for another organization.

The Red Sox reassigned Selsky to their minor-league camp Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Selsky made eight appearances with the big club in 2017 but otherwise spent most of the campaign at Triple-A Pawtucket, where he slashed .215/.270/.360 across 322 plate appearances. An assignment back to Pawtucket presumably awaits Selsky again, with any promotion the 28-year-old might receive to the majors likely coming as a result of his dependable glove rather than because of anything he offers at the dish.

Selsky will be returning to the Red Sox on a minor-league deal, Jon Heyman of FanRagSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Selsky has appeared in 32 major-league games over the past two years with Cincinnati and Boston, recording a .283/.303/.376 batting line with two home runs. He hit just .215/.270/.360 in 79 games for Triple-A Pawtucket last year. He's unlikely to be anything other than organizational depth for the Red Sox.

Selsky was outrighted to Triple-A Pawtucket on Tuesday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Selsky was designated for assignment last week to clear room on the roster for the acquisition of Rajai Davis. After passing through waivers untouched, Selsky will report back to Pawtucket where he'll continue to serve as organizational depth. The 28-year-old is hitting .215/.270/.360 with 11 homers in 79 games at Triple-A this season.

Selsky was designated for assignment on Wednesday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
While there is no corresponding move, Rosenthal suspects the Red Sox are on the verge of a trade. Selsky is hitting .215/.270/.360 with 11 home runs in 79 games at Triple-A. He will continue to provide organizational depth going forward, whether with the Red Sox or with a team that claims him.

Selsky was optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket on Thursday, Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Chase d'Arnaud being claimed Thursday, the Red Sox had to make a 25-man roster move to clear a spot. Selsky had appeared in just three games since April 16 and hadn't made a start since April 9 even with Boston's rash of infield injuries. He'll head down to Pawtucket, where he figures to see much more regular playing time.

Selsky is starting in center field Sunday in place of Jackie Bradley (knee), Jen McCaffrey of MassLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Normally, we'd see Chris Young as a replacement outfielder, but he's needed at designated hitter to replace Hanley Ramirez (flu).

Selsky will open the season on Boston's 25-man roster, manager John Farrell announced Saturday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Selsky's right-handed bat was the factor in him earning the 25th spot on the roster over Marco Hernandez. The 27-year-old Selsky is the right-handed alternative to Mitch Moreland at first base while the Red Sox wait on Hanley Ramirez who has been limited to DH only during spring training. Selsky was also used some at third base this spring and could be a complement to Pablo Sandoval, although his lack of experience at the hot corner was evident when he did play there. He went 16-for-45 (.356) with a .431 on-base percentage, .689 slugging percentage, four home runs, three doubles, 12 RBI, 10 runs and five walks over 22 Grapefruit League games.

Selsky, who was optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket earlier this week, is a candidate to make Boston's roster as the 25th man, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports. Marco Hernandez is also in the mix.
EDGE Analysis
Josh Rutledge appeared to have the edge for the final roster spot, being a right-handed hitting utility infielder that could complement Pablo Sandoval at third base or Mitch Moreland at first while Hanley Ramirez is unable to play the field early in the season. But Rutledge suffered a hamstring injury Tuesday and will start the season on the 10-day disabled list. Enter Selsky, a right-handed batter who can play first base and has done some work at third this spring. He probably has the edge over the lefty-hitting Hernandez, though Hernandez has more third base experience and, as someone that hits both lefties and righties well, could complement Sandoval.
