San Francisco Giants catcher Stephen Vogt went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 4-3 loss against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was making the start in place of Buster Posey, who was given a rest against the difficult Zack Greinke. Vogt's homer was a solo blast in the ninth inning off of closer Greg Holland. He is now slashing .277/.349/.500 with a pair of homers and 12 RBI. His fantasy appeal is rather minimal outside of the deepest of NL formats unless Posey goes down with a l[...]

Stephen Vogt is Called Up to Giants rotoballer.com Wed 5/1/19 6:57 PM

San Francisco Giants catcher Stephen Vogt had his contract purchased from Triple-A on Wednesday. Vogt was hitting well in the minors and the Giants need depth behind Buster Posey. Vogt is expected to play some first base as well since Posey didn't sit too often. Pitcher Ty Blach has been optioned to Triple-A to make room for Vogt. However, unless Posey gets injured Vogt won't have much fantasy value off the bench.

Posey is coming off a serious hip surgery last August and will be looking to rest him often early in the season. Vogt, 34, didn't play at all in 2018 due to injury and hit just .233/.285/.423 with 12 home runs and 40 RBI in 99 games with the A's and Brewers in 2017. He doesn't have much left to offer for fantasy own[...]
