Shawn Kelley worked a scoreless ninth inning against the Red Sox on Saturday, preserving a three-run advantage and earning his second save of the season.
Kelley is the man to own at the back of the Yankees bullpen for as long as David Robertson remains sidelined. That may only be for another week however, as Robertson is aiming to return on April 22.

Shawn Kelley is likely unavailable for Thursday's game against the Red Sox.
Not a surprise, as Kelley threw 31 pitches in Wednesday's loss to the Orioles. Yankees manager Joe Girardi would like to stay away from Adam Warren as well, so he might be forced to play the matchups in a potential save situation. Kelley is still the best bet for saves while David Robertson (groin) is on the disabled list.

After entering a tie game in the ninth, Shawn Kelley gave up two runs and took a loss Wednesday against the Orioles.
Kelley allowed four hits in an appearance for the first time since June 11, 2012. He had given up just one hit in 3 1/3 scoreless innings this season coming in. The Yankees will keep using him as their closer while David Robertson is out, but since he threw 31 pitches tonight, he might not be available Thursday. Perhaps Adam Warren or Matt Thornton will pick up a spot save in his place.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said that Shawn Kelley will "probably" not be available Tuesday.
Kelley is expected to fill in at closer with David Robertson (groin) on the disabled list, but Girardi would likely to stay away from using him three days in a row. He could play the matchups in the late innings Tuesday.

Shawn Kelley pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save as the Yankees defeated the Orioles 4-2 on Monday.
Closer David Robertson was given the day off having pitched in three out of the previous four days. Kelley had no issues the Orioles' 5-6-7 hitters, inducing weak contact against all three batters.

Yankees avoided arbitration with RHP Shawn Kelley by agreeing to a one-year, $1.765 million contract.
Kelley, who was arbitration-eligible for the third of four times, can earn $25,000 more if he appears in 55 games. He made 57 appearances for the Yankees last season, putting up a 4.39 ERA but striking out 71 across 53 1/3 frames.

Shawn Kelley (triceps) indicated that he felt better after his morning bullpen session on Saturday, and should be available out of the Yankees bullpen on Sunday.
Kelley hasn't pitched since last Sunday due to a sore triceps in his pitching arm. With the Yankees bullpen depleted, his return should be a big boost to the overall unit.

Shawn Kelley will be unavailable until next week due to a triceps issue.
It doesn't appear to be a major concern, but Kelly nonetheless will be shut down for at least a week or so (he hasn't pitched since Sunday). He holds a 3.96 ERA with 66 strikeouts over 50 innings this season.

Shawn Kelley has been awarded a spot in the Yankees' bullpen.
Kelley ultimately got the nod over David Aardsma, who was designated for assignment. The 28-year-old had a 3.25 ERA and 45/15 K/BB ratio over 44 1/3 innings last season with Seattle and should do fine as a middle reliever for New York.

Shawn Kelley gave up his first three runs of the spring Saturday against the Phillies.
Kelley, who was acquired from the Mariners last month, had pitched five scoreless innings this spring. He's a nice enough choice as the third or fourth right-hander in a major league pen, but since he has options left, the Yankees may well send him down later this month.
