According to Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish, Shairon Martis has signed with the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions in Taiwan. Martis had two minor league offers from MLB teams, but opted to go play overseas. The 26-year-old right-hander spent most of last season at Triple-A with the Twins, posting a 4.26 ERA with 65 strikeouts over 80 1/3 innings.

Cotillo expects Martis to make a decision by the end of the week. Twins recalled RHP Shairon Martis from Triple-A Rochester. The 26-yea-old hasn't appeared in the big leagues since he was a member of the Nationals during the 2009 season. Working out of the bullpen for Triple-A Rochester, Martis compiled a 4.26 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 65/31 K/BB ratio in 80 1/3 innings. He'll be used in middle relief.

Twins re-signed RHP Shairon Martis. He'll get a spring training invite. Martis was picked up by the Twins from the Pirates in June and is coming off a bad year that saw him put up a 5.17 ERA over 139 1/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A. He's merely organizational depth.

Twins acquired RHP Shairon Martis from the Pirates. The two teams haven't decided what the Pirates will get in return. Martis hasn't appeared in the majors since 2009 as a member of the Nationals and had a 4.96 ERA and 37/23 K/BB ratio over 61 2/3 innings this season between the Pirates' Double- and Triple-A affiliates. He will serve as organizational depth.

Pirates signed RHP Shairon Martis to a minor league contract. Martis hasn't appeared on a major league mound since the 2009 season, when he posted a 5.25 ERA in 85 2/3 innings for the Nationals. The 24-year-old righty will have trouble breaking that streak with the Pirates.
