Lugo remains on schedule in his recovery from elbow surgery and has been throwing off flat ground since the final week of March, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo was originally expected to return sometime around mid-May when he underwent the procedure to remove a loose body from his right elbow in mid-February. While he's yet to advance to mound work, he appears to still be on that timeline.

Lugo (elbow) was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo underwent surgery in February to remove a loose body from his right elbow and hasn't yet resumed throwing. Although the right-hander is responding well to treatment, it's not yet clear when he could return to game action. Once Lugo is healthy, he should serve as a setup man behind Edwin Diaz.

Lugo (elbow) has yet to resume throwing but is responding well to treatment, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo isn't behind schedule, as it's been five weeks from the date of his elbow surgery, which was expected to keep him shut down for six weeks. While he seems to be making acceptable progress, he'll have to spend a few weeks building back up once he's cleared to throw, so he'll likely miss a fair portion of April at minimum.

Lugo is feeling good as he recovers from February elbow surgery and doesn't expect to miss too much time, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo underwent a procedure to remove a loose body from his right elbow in mid-February. The surgery was expected to keep shut him down for six weeks, so he won't be able to start ramping up until late March. He'll open the year on the injured list and doesn't have a precise return timeline, but he seems optimistic about his progress.

Lugo will undergo surgery Tuesday to remove a loose body from his right elbow, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo will be shut down for six weeks before he transitions to a throwing program. He'll miss the start of spring training as a result, and he could be sidelined to begin the regular season as well. Once he's fully healthy, the right-hander could take on a high-leverage relief role for the Mets in 2021.

Lugo signed a one-year, $2.925 million contract with the Mets on Friday to avoid arbitration, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old gets a raise for 2021 after posting a career-worst 5.15 ERA last season. Lugo was shifted between the bullpen and starting rotation last season with poor results. The right-hander has found more success in the majors as a reliever, so the Mets could leave him in the bullpen for a high-leverage role in 2021.

Lugo (3-4) allowed six runs on five hits and two walks across 1.2 innings Sunday, striking out one and taking the loss against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the Mets scoring three runs in the first two innings, Lugo coughed up five runs through 1.2 innings and was tagged with another run after he left the contest. The poor outing shot his season ERA from 3.82 to 5.15 across 36.2 innings this season. Lugo also finished the season with a solid 47:10 K:BB.

Lugo evened his record at 3-3 during the Mets' 5-2 win Tuesday, limiting the Rays to two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out seven in 6.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
After failing to escape the second inning while serving up four home runs in his last start Sept. 17 against the Phillies, Lugo bounced back in impressive fashion in his penultimate outing of 2020. Other than surrendering another long ball to Willy Adames in the second inning, Lugo was otherwise sharp with his command in the 95-pitch appearance. He's scheduled to make his final start in the Mets' season finale Sunday in Washington.

Lugo allowed six runs on eight hits and no walks in 1.2 innings against Philadelphia on Thursday, striking out three. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo entered the contest having posted a laudable 2.65 ERA over 17 innings since joining the starting rotation Aug. 25, but he was unable to tame the Phillies' bats Thursday. The right-hander surrendered four home runs in the brutal outing, two of which came off the bat of Bryce Harper. In only 1.2 innings of work, Lugo yielded a season-worst eight hits and saw his season ERA balloon to 4.34. He'll try to rebound at home against Tampa Bay on Tuesday.
