Manaea (6-3) allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out 11 in 5.1 innings to take the loss against the Yankees on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea had earned wins in each of his last three starts, and he allowed one run in 20.2 innings during that time. Although he racked up a season-high 11 strikeouts Sunday, he couldn't get enough run support from the Athletics in the low-scoring contest. The southpaw has now posted a 3.01 ERA and 1.21 WHIP in 86.2 innings this year. He tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against San Francisco on Friday.

Manaea (6-2) allowed one run on nine hits and a walk over 5.2 innings Monday, striking out five and earning a win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea had to escape threats with multiple base runners in the first, second and fourth innings, but the only run to score against him was a solo shot by Juan Lagares. Despite it not being his most effective outing, the 29-year-old earned his third straight win and has allowed one or fewer runs in each of his last five appearances. He lowered his season ERA to a solid 2.99 alongside a 78:19 K:BB. Manaea is lined up to face the Yankees on the road this weekend.

Manaea (5-2) allowed two hits and two walks while striking out three in six scoreless innings, earning the win in Wednesday's 4-0 victory over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty entered an enticing matchup (at home against the Diamondbacks) and didn't disappoint. Manaea labored a bit through the first couple innings, but made it through six innings on 111 pitches and lowered his ERA to 3.09. He's been superb of late, having allowed just two earned runs over 26.2 innings in his last four starts, and is expected to next pitch Monday against the Angels.

Manaea (4-2) earned the win over Seattle on Wednesday, hurling nine scoreless frames while allowing four hits and two walks. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
This was technically Manaea's second shutout of the season -- he tossed seven scoreless innings in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Twins in April. The southpaw was sharp Wednesday, inducing 19 swinging strikes and holding the Mariners without an extra-base hit. Over his past three starts, Manaea has allowed only two runs in 20.2 frames while posting a 22:7 K:BB. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which is lined up to come at home against Arizona next week.

Manaea hurled 6.2 innings against the Angels on Friday, yielding one run on six hits and three walks while striking out eight. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw was impressive in the outing, keeping the Angels from scoring until the seventh frame. Opposing pitcher Shohei Ohtani put up a strong performance of his own, however, preventing Manaea from ending up in the win column. Still, it was a promising outing for Manaea, who racked up 17 swinging strikes en route to his sixth quality start of the season. He is tentatively slated to make his next start at Seattle on Wednesday.

Manaea allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings against the Angels on Sunday. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea held the Angels' hitters in check over five innings. The only run scored against him came in the fourth on an RBI groundout by Jared Walsh. It was a much-needed performance for the 29-year-old Manaea after a pair of rough outings in which he was lit up for 10 runs on 20 hits over eight combined innings. He'll take a 4.17 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 54:11 K:BB over 54 innings into his next start.

Manaea allowed three earned runs on 10 hits and no walks while striking out three across six innings Tuesday against the Astros. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea survived with a quality start despite surrendering 10 hits -- including two doubles and a solo home run. He wasn't deceiving opposing hitters, as he generated only seven swinging strikes across 91 total pitches. Manaea maintains a 4.41 ERA and 1.33 WHIP across 49 innings this season, but has allowed double-digit hitters to reach base in each of his last two outings while racking up only five strikeouts across eight combined frames. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, projected to come Sunday at the Angels.

Manaea (3-2) was tagged with the loss Thursday against the Red Sox after giving up seven runs on 10 hits and a walk while fanning two across two innings.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea had his worst outing of the season by a wide margin, as he had recorded six straight starts of at least five innings but ended that streak abruptly here -- he pitched his shortest outing of the campaign while recording a season-worst mark in hits and runs allowed, and his two strikeouts represent a season-low figure as well. The left-hander will attempt to bounce back in his next start, scheduled for next week at home against the Astros.

Manaea completed 7.1 innings against Tampa Bay on Friday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while striking out 10. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
For six innings, Manaea looked like he could be in for a special night, as the southpaw retired 18 straight Rays batters. The potential perfect game came to an end on a leadoff walk in the seventh inning, but Manaea still entered the eighth with a no-hitter intact. Tampa Bay quickly struck for a run on a double and a single, however, and Manaea soon exited the game with no chance for a win. Despite the disappointing ending, there was plenty to like about the veteran hurler's performance; among other highlights, he struck out a season-high 10 batters notched his fourth quality start of the campaign. Manaea has now given up one or fewer runs in four of his seven starts, leading to a steady 3.07 ERA. His next start will likely take place in Boston on Thursday.

Manaea didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Orioles. He allowed four runs on seven hits while striking out five across five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea ended his winning streak at three starts, and this outing was a step in the wrong direction given how good he'd been pitching of late -- he had allowed a combined four earned runs over his previous 24 innings (four starts) before Sunday's appearance. The left-hander owns a strong 3.48 ERA, however, and he will try to return to the winning ways in his next scheduled start -- tabbed for next week at home against the Rays.
