Rockies signed RHP Sean Gallagher to a minor league contract. Gallagher had been pitching for the Sugar Land Skeeters of the independent Atlantic League. He last made an appearance in a major league game in 2010 with Pittsburgh.

He held a 5.11 ERA and 1.49 WHIP at Triple-A in the Pirates organization in 2011, failing to make it up to the big league level. He's merely organizational depth.
