Ryan Raburn sat out of Sunday's game against the Twins due to a jammed right ring finger. Raburn jammed the finger while sliding into second base Saturday and found it difficult to grip a bat on Sunday morning due to the lingering swelling. The Tigers' medical staff is calling him "day-to-day."

Ryan Raburn paced the Tigers in their 5-4 win over the Rangers on Wednesday, going 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored. A nice night for Raburn, who was making his first start of August. However, it would have been much nicer had it come against a righty (the Rangers sent southpaw Matt Harrison to the hill). Raburn should remain a no-go in mixed leagues going forward.

Ryan Raburn went 0-for-3 with a walk as the Tigers' No. 2 hitter in Wednesday's loss. It makes sense for the Tigers to keep playing Raburn against lefties, but do they really need to hit him second? He entered the day with a .259 OBP that was only a bit better at .290 against southpaws. Carlos Guillen would seem to be a better choice in that spot.

Ryan Raburn hit a two-run jack in Thursday's win over the Royals. Don Kelly added an insurance run late with a solo shot, but it was Raburn's blast that proved to be the difference in the game. After entering the year as sleeper in some fantasy owners' eyes, Raburn has disappointed at the plate, hitting .206 with eight homers and 31 RBI.
