Ryan Ludwick hit a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Padres. Ludwick's fourth-inning bomb off of Jason Marquis was his only hit in four trips to the plate. Ludwick has provided decent NL-only league value by going deep 12 times through Cincinnati's first 85 games, but hitting just .239/.311/.478, he's off-the-radar in most mixed formats.

Ryan Ludwick went 3-for-5 and hit his ninth homer versus the Indians on Thursday. Ludwick is batting just .215, but 17 of his 32 hits have gone for extra bases. He'll probably keep getting plenty of playing time in left field after Drew Stubbs returns.

Ryan Ludwick is dealing with a swollen left elbow after being hit by an R.A. Dickey pitch Thursday. Consider him day-to-day. Ludwick has struggled offensively this season, striking out 25 times in just 80 at-bats. Given his latest setback, it wouldn't be surprising to see Chris Heisey get more playing time in left field.

Ludwick is hitting just .187 with an OPS under .630 on the season and has now struck out 24 times in just 75 at-bats. But Chris Heisey is also having a tough time, so it's not like Cincy can make a big change.

Ryan Ludwick went 2-for-6 with a grand slam in Sunday's 11-inning win over the Nationals. Ludwick's first home run as a Red came off of Ross Detwiler in the first inning. Ludwick is batting just .192/.276/.385 through his first 29 plate appearances, but should get enough playing time and supply enough power to be worth a bench spot in deeper mixed formats.

Manager Dusty Baker pretty obviously prefers Ludwick to Chris Heisey, which is why Ludwick was back in there today despite an .091 average. The double was his only hit today, leaving him at .133, but it'll probably be enough to get him another start Friday.

Many have pegged Heisey as a potential sleeper candidate, but given Dusty Baker's penchant for playing veterans, we're not holding our breath.

Ryan Ludwick will start in left field for the Reds on Opening Day against the Marlins. Reds manager Dusty Baker told reporters that he didn't like the matchup of Chris Heisey against Miami left-hander Mark Buehrle. "We'll go from the there," Baker concluded.

Ryan Ludwick ripped a two-run, walk-off home run Wednesday against the Angels. The longball came off mammoth right-hander Loek Van Mil with two outs in the ninth. It was Ludwick's first homer this spring, and it bumped his average up to .237. The veteran outfield is expected to share time in left field with Chris Heisey this season.
