Kelly was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett Wednesday. Kelly pitched one inning on Tuesday, allowing one run and two hits. He struck out one batter. It is unclear when Kelly will return to the Braves.

Kelly's contract was officially purchased by the Braves in advance of Sunday's game, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports. The 27-year-old has spent time at both Double-A and Triple-A this season, posting a cumulative 1.15 ERA in 31.1 innings. In 10 Triple-A appearances, Kelly is 1-1, allowing only three earned runs over 12.2 innings. Sugar Ray Marimon was optioned to Triple-A on Sunday in a corresponding move.

Kelly's contract will be bought out from Triple-A Gwinnett, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. Sugar Ray Marimon will be optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett to take his place.
