Jackson (wrist) was designated for assignment by the Royals on Monday.
Jackson finished the 2014 season on the disabled list, and was subsequently traded to the Royals from the Cardinals in the offseason. He was taken off the Royals' 40-man roster due to the addition of Edinson Volquez, who was officially signed by the Royals on Monday. The 26-year-old infielder hit .278/.352/.346 with three home runs and 34 RBI with Triple-A Memphis in 2013, but will likely serve as organizational depth in 2015. If he can prove he as returned to health, Jackson could eventually find a bench spot with the Royals if the team suffers some injuries in the infield.

Jackson (wrist) was traded to the Royals on Wednesday.
Jackson spent most of the 2014 season on the disabled list, but hit .278/.352/.346 with three home runs and 34 RBI with Triple-A Memphis in 2013. He plays mostly at third base and shortstop, two positions of strength for the Royals with Mike Moustakas and Alcides Escobar. However, he played a little outfield and second base as well, eventually making him a candidate as a bench utility player.

Jackson (wrist) was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Monday.
Jackson was removed from the 40-man roster to make room for the newly-acquired Juan Nicasio. He missed the majority of the 2014 season after undergoing wrist surgery following a 2013 season that saw him record seven at-bats with the Cardinals. He will likely be ready for spring training, though it will likely begin in the minor leagues.

Jackson was claimed by the Dodgers on Monday, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Jackson missed almost the entire season with a wrist injury that required surgery in June. As a result, he was limited to only 11 minor league games, in which he went 7-for-42 at the plate. He made seven appearances for the Cardinals in 2013 but spent the majority of that season in Triple-A, where he slashed .278/.352/.346 with 34 RBI and three home runs in 510 plate appearances.

Jackson (wrist) is hitting from a tee in Arizona, and hopes to begin playing in games September 1, Jeff Sanders of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Since he already has a 40-man roster spot and the minor league season is nearing an end, Jackson will likely see time with the Padres in September if his wrist holds up.

Ryan Jackson has undergone surgery on his right wrist.
Jackson is expected to be on the shelf until late August or early September. Given that he's no safe bet to be added to the big league roster late in the year, there's a chance it could wind up being a season-ender.

Ryan Jackson will have his right wrist examined in San Diego this week.
The wrist apparently was bothering Jackson since the beginning of spring training, but he's only now brought it to anyone's attention. Jackson just barely missed out on an Opening Day roster spot, and now it appears he might be sidelined for a while.
