Hanigan went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs during Wednesday's win over San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
The backstop has been playing semi-regularly since being recalled to the majors June 30, but this was his first multi-hit showing. In fact, Hanigan went just 3-for-20 through his previous six starts. Still, calling Coors Field home is a nice fantasy bonus, so Hanigan has some appeal in cavernous setups.

Hanigan (back) is starting behind the dish and hitting eighth Sunday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
He missed the last three games while dealing with back spasms, but was able to get back in the fold in the final game of the first half. Hanigan could end up losing his spot on the 25-man roster when the Rockies are ready to give Tom Murphy the promotion from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Hanigan was scratched from a scheduled start Friday against the White Sox due to upper back spasms, Nick Groke of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Given that Tony Wolters is the primary catcher for Colorado, most people didn't bat an eye when Hanigan was left out of the lineup Friday, but it seems that an injury is lingering enough to keep him on the bench. Despite the absence, the veteran backstop nor the team think that the ailment is very serious, so it's unlikely that he'll spend any time on the disabled list, especially with the All-Star break coming up. Consider him day-to-dya for the time being, with Tony Wolters continuing to shoulder a bigger workload in the meantime.

Hanigan was called back up to the Rockies on Friday, and will start behind the plate during the series opener against Arizona, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hanigan was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque in mid-June, but is seemingly back up with the big-league team and catching Jon Gray on Friday. The 36-year-old has spent 13 games with Colorado this season, hitting .256/.304/.395 with two home runs and eight RBI.

Hanigan was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
With Tom Murphy (forearm) coming off the disabled list Thursday, Hanigan agreed to head back to the minors in order to clear a roster spot. He'll offer catching depth in the minors, though he likely won't return to the big-leagues unless something happens to Murphy or Tony Wolters.

Hanigan went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-3 win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
It's just his second homer of the season and first since his first game of the year back on May 4. Hanigan has seen little action since then, playing in only 13 games, and with Tom Murphy (forearm) close to coming off the DL the veteran catcher's time with the Rockies could be nearing its end.

Hanigan (ankle) is back in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Cleveland, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
After missing the past six games, Hanigan returns to the lineup in the eight spot while catching Kyle Freeland on Wednesday. The 36-year-old will give Tony Wolters his first day off this month for the conclusion of the Rockies series with the Indians. Throughout the course of the 2017 season, Hanigan is 9-for-37 from the plate with one home run and six RBI in his 12 appearances for Colorado.

Hanigan is dealing with an ankle injury, Nick Groke of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran hasn't appeared in any of the past five games, even with Sunday's day game normally being a game where he'd take over behind the plate to give regular catcher Tony Wolters a breather. The severity of the ailment is unclear, although the Rockies will likely play things safe with Wolters playing well and prospect catcher Tom Murphy (forearm) nearing a return. Consider Hanigan day-to-day for now.

Hanigan is 8-for-29 (.276) with one home run and six RBI in eight games for the Rockies this season.
EDGE Analysis
After injuries to both Tony Wolters and Tom Murphy (forearm) forced him into MLB action, Hanigan came out of the gate hot to make his case to remain on the big-league roster. It ultimately worked, and although he's slowed down at the plate a bit, he still has a firm foothold on the backup catching duties. Murphy is still a few weeks away from rejoining the Rockies, so it seems like Hanigan will be in Denver for the foreseeable future, albeit in a reserve role.

Hanigan had his contract purchased from Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
With Tony Wolters headed to the DL with a concussion, Hanigan was added to the 25-man roster to serve as the Rockies' second catcher. Hanigan has held his own at Triple-A so far this season, slashing .282/.360/.359 across 39 at-bats (13 games). He'll primarily serve as backup to Dustin Garneau for the time being, though he'll likely be headed back to Triple-A once Wolters is ready to be activated.
