Feltner (1-3) took the loss to the Twins on Sunday, allowing five runs on eight hits while striking out two and walking one over four innings.

Feltner threw 51 of 80 pitches across four frames Sunday. He did not allow any home runs, but the Twins were able to play small-ball, picking up three runs on singles, one on a triple and another on a sac fly. In 16.2 innings this month, the righty has allowed 16 earned runs, for an 8.64 ERA. He will take a 6.15 season ERA into his next appearance.

Feltner allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and zero walks over 3.2 innings during Tuesday's 9-8 loss to the Marlins. He had four strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.

Colorado jumped out to a 4-0 lead, but Feltner fell apart during the fourth inning, as he gave up five runs on five hits and an error before being pulled with two outs. The 25-year-old threw 47 of his 71 pitches for strikes and didn't issue a walk for the first time in six starts this year, though he did hit a batter. Feltner has replaced Austin Gomber in the Rockies' starting rotation for now, but his rotation spot is hardly secure with a 5.46 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 31:7 K:BB through 29.2 innings this season.

Feltner will remain in Colorado's starting rotation and will pitch Tuesday at Miami, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Feltner has a 4.85 ERA through five starts this season but has two quality starts in his past three outings, and he'll receive a longer look in the Rockies' rotation. The right-hander has a 3.94 FIP, 1.15 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB through 26 innings this season, so some more favorable results could be on the horizon. Austin Gomber will move to the bullpen as a result.

Feltner pitched six innings in Game 1 of a doubleheader against San Diego on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while striking out six. He did not factor in the decision.

Feltner was called up from the minors prior to the game and limited the Padres to a single run on a third-inning Trent Grisham solo homer. The right-hander notched his second quality start this season, but Colorado's lack of offense prevented him from taking his second victory.
