Braun (back) is starting in left field and batting fifth Tuesday against the Reds.

Braun (back) remains out of the lineup Monday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Braun missed Sunday's game with back tightness. It's not clear whether or not the issue is still bothering him, as he'd been scheduled to miss Monday's contest in order to attend Tyler Skaggs' funeral. Christian Yelich slides to left field in his absence, with Eric Thames in right.

Braun is not in Sunday's lineup due to back tightness, Tom Hadricourt of Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Braun had started eight of the Brewers' nine games since the All-Star break, collecting a hit in all but one of them. He will have a few days off to rest his back, as he was already scheduled to be away from the team on Monday to attend Tyler Skaggs' funeral. Ben Gamel will start in right field and bat seventh in Braun's place.

Braun went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Braun crushed a 436-foot solo home run off T.J. McFarland in the ninth inning to extend the Brewers' lead to 5-1. He also contributed another RBI on a sacrifice fly in the second. The 35-year-old has now recorded hits in five of his six contests post All-Star break. On the season, Braun is batting .272/.322/.474 with 14 home runs, 45 RBI and 41 runs scored.

Braun is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers continue to give Braun fairly regular rest, a plan which appears to be working well enough, as the veteran owns a decent .270/.321/.459 slash line, good for a technically above-average 101 wRC+. Ben Gamel starts in left field.

Braun will miss Monday's game against the Braves to attend the funeral for Tyler Skaggs in California, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers play 13 games without an off day to start the second half, so Braun, who has battled knee issues all season, would have received at least one off day during that stretch, so this doesn't really hurt his value in weekly leagues next week. Just be aware that he will play a maximum of six games next week.

Braun (knee) is back in the lineup Friday, starting in left field and batting fifth against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Braun missed four consecutive starts heading into the break due to a right knee issue, which he revealed to be an aggravation of an injury suffered last fall during the postseason. He seems to be feeling better after some time off, but the Brewers will probably look to give Braun semi-regular maintenance days down the stretch to help ensure he stays upright.

Braun (knee) will be limited to pinch-hit/emergency duty through the All-Star break, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Braun revealed Friday that he injured his right knee at the start of last year's playoffs, and it was pretty bad, to the point he was restricted from lower-body work all winter. He aggravated the issue earlier in the week, presumably when he slid into the outfield wall while making a catch. Tyler Saladino is starting in left field Friday but look for Ben Gamel to get the nod Saturday and Sunday with two right-handers lined up for Pittsburgh.

Braun (knee) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old is dealing with some knee soreness stemming from Tuesday when he slid into the wall while making a catch. There has been nothing yet to suggest an IL stint will be necessary. Tyler Saladino is starting in left field and batting seventh against lefty Steven Brault.

Braun is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds due to what manager Craig Counsell described as a sore knee, Sophia Minnaert of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even though he was able to start in the outfield in Wednesday's 3-0 loss, Braun may still be tending to some residual soreness from the awkward sliding catch he made in Tuesday's contest that resulted in his early removal. Braun's injury isn't believed to be a major concern, but he'll cede left field to Tyler Saladino in the series finale with an eye on returning to the starting nine Friday in Pittsburgh.
