Angels recalled RHP Ryan Brasier from Triple-A Salt Lake. Nick Maronde was sent down in a corresponding roster move. Brasier had an ugly 6.00 ERA and 12/5 K/BB ratio in 12 innings over his first 10 relief appearances in Triple-A this season, but the Angels need a fresh arm for their bullpen.

Angels purchased the contract of RHP Ryan Brasier from Triple-A Salt Lake. The move ensures that he will not be selected in December's Rule 5 Draft. The 25-year-old right-hander had a 4.37 ERA, 13 saves and a 54/24 K/BB ratio over 59 2/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level.
