Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins said Sunday that Borucki (forearm) is expected to be on the injured list for the minimum 10 days or close to it, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Borucki was placed on the IL on Friday with a left forearm strain. According to Atkins, Borucki's injury is to the lower portion of his forearm, which the Blue Jays don't believe will affect his velocity or command when he eventually returns. Borucki had posted a 4.05 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB in 13.1 innings before landing on the IL.

Borucki (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
What was initially described as a dead arm has now been diagnosed as a left forearm flexor strain. The Blue Jays did not immediately provide a recovery timetable nor did they announce a corresponding roster move.

Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo said after Thursday's 8-4 win over Atlanta that Borucki has been dealing with fatigue in his left arm, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Montoyo was careful to note that Borucki isn't dealing with an injury, and the Blue Jays are optimistic that he'll be available out of the bullpen for this weekend's series with the Phillies. Borucki's last relief appearance came back on May 7.

Borucki (2-1) picked up the win in Wednesday's victory over the Red Sox, allowing one hit and one walk over two scoreless innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
On a bullpen day for the Jays, Borucki was judged by the official scorer to be the most effective of the team's relievers, even though he entered the game in the sixth inning with Toronto already ahead 4-2. The lefty has two holds through seven appearances (6.2 innings) in addition to his two wins, and Borucki's 2.70 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 7:2 K:BB are also sharp. The 27-year-old is the top southpaw in the bullpen, although Tim Mayza has also worked his way into the high-leverage mix.

Borucki (illness) was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Borucki missed Friday's game due to vaccine-related symptoms, but he'll be available once again Saturday. Ty Tice was sent back down by the Blue Jays in a corresponding move.

Borucki was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Friday due to side effects from the vaccine, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Borucki is dealing with fatigue and a fever after receiving his COVID-19 vaccine and has been sent home by the team to rest. Since there isn't a minimum amount of time that a player needs to spend on the COVID-19 IL, Borucki will be able to return to the team as soon as his symptoms subside. Right-handers Joel Payamps and Ty Tice were called up by Toronto in corresponding moves.

Borucki (1-0) tossed 0.2 scoreless innings in Sunday's win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Borucki earned his first win of the season but only recorded two outs to accomplish that feat -- he tossed five of his eight pitches for strikes and easily retired Jay Bruce and Gary Sanchez. Borucki is not expected to see the mound in high-leverage situations, though, so his upside shouldn't be very high going forward -- even if he has started the year with back-to-back scoreless outings.

Borucki has posted a 2.25 ERA and 6:0 K:BB through four Grapefruit League innings.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw began adjusting to a short relief role last season, and Borucki appears to be thriving with the switch. The 26-year-old should open the season as Toronto's top setup option from the left side, potentially making Borucki a strong source of holds in 2021.

Borucki (1-1) took the loss and blown save against the Rays on Sunday, allowing a run on two hits in two-thirds of an inning. He did not record a walk or strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Borucki entered the game in the fifth inning with runners on first and second and the Jays leading 2-0. He got Kevin Kiermaier to line out for the first out, but a single, sacrifice fly and another single by the next three batters gave the Rays a 3-2 lead. The rough outing handed Borucki his first loss of the season and also charged the southpaw with his second blown save on the campaign.

Borucki (1-0) gave up a hit and a walk over 1.1 scoreless innings Monday to pick up the win in a 4-1 victory over the Nationals. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw was added to the 30-man roster earlier in the day and Borucki was put to work quickly, entering the game to begin the sixth inning and getting credited with the win by the official scorer. After a lost 2019 due to elbow issues, he'll look to regain the form that saw him post a 3.87 ERA over 97.2 innings in 2018.
