Borucki pitched six scoreless innings, allowing six hits and one walk while striking out six during his Triple-A debut with Buffalo on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old lefty has been impressive this season, moving through three levels of the organization. Between High-A Dunedin and Double-A New Hampshire, he managed quality starts in 20 of his 25 starts. Borucki remains a year or two away from a possible big-league role, but his stock has risen immensely in 2017, and he'll certainly be a player to watch when next spring rolls around.

Borucki was promoted to Triple-A Buffalo and will start for the Bisons on Thursday, The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Jays' 15th-round pick in 2012 began this season at High-A, but his impressive campaign has Borucki standing at MLB's gate. A top left-handed prospect, the 23-year-old owns a nifty 3.06 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 9.4 K/9 through 26 games (25 starts) combined at High- and Double-A in 2017. Considering the big-league club is unlikely to make the playoffs, Borucki could be in line to make his MLB debut in a September spot start.

Borucki, 23, twirled seven shutout innings for Double-A New Hampshire in his Eastern League debut Sunday. He scattered two his and two walks and whiffed four batters.
EDGE Analysis
Borucki struck out one of the Yankees' top prospects, Jorge Mateo, on three pitches to begin the contest, which proved to be a harbinger of what was to come. The young lefty, who posted a 3.58 ERA and 109:27 K:BB in 98 innings for High-A Dunedin prior to his promotion, has earned plaudits from scouts for his advanced changeup and ability to sequence three pitches effectively, but a checkered health history that includes Tommy John surgery in 2013 somewhat dings his long-term outlook.

Borucki has been placed on a strict pitch count in his recent starts for High-A Dunedin, SB Nationt reports.
EDGE Analysis
The reason for the recent restriction placed on Borucki is unspecified, but it may be a simple case of preserving the prospect's arm. The southpaw tossed just 68.2 frames over his first three professional seasons. But last year, Borucki racked up 135.2 innings for Low- and High-A combined, giving the Jays good reason to be careful with the prospect. Through eight starts in 2017, Borucki owns a 4.11 ERA and 1.31 with 41 strikeouts over 35 innings.

Borucki (0-1) owns a 6.46 ERA and 1.50 WHIP through his first three starts in 2017 with High-A Dunedin.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander, who cracked the 40-man roster in November, is arguably among the top-five pitching prospects in the Jays' organization. While the surface stats don't look pretty, Borucki continues to be a strikeout machine -- he has 18 through 15.1 innings this year -- and the 23-year-old has proven he can pump a mid-90s fastball deep into pitch counts. Borucki is obviously not hitting the MLB stage any time soon, but he's worth following in dynasty formats.

Borucki was optioned to High-A Dunedin on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, the 22-year-old southpaw will continuing priming at organization's lower levels this season. In four minor league campaigns, Borucki owns a solid 3.61 ERA with 186 strikeouts over 204.1 innings. He's a top-20 prospect in the Jays' system, and Borucki will be a top contender to crack the big-league bullpen in the upcoming seasons with hopes of one day becoming part of the rotation.
