Owens has been traded to the Dodgers from Oakland, the Oakland Tribune reports. He'll likely just add organizational depth for the Dodgers after he failed to make Oakland's 25-man roster this spring.

Owens has signed a minor league deal with the A's, Baseball America's Matt Eddy reports. He put up a 4.33 ERA in 135 innings at Triple-A for the Astros last season, and was then outrighted and elected free agency. He has repeated Triple-A for four straight years before finally getting to make one spot start for the Astros last year. Look for him to provide organizational depth for the A's.

The lefty can only reach the high-80s with his fastball and seems highly unlikely to get an extended run with a big league club next season.
