Lewis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

Lewis went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, a walk and a double in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
It was Lewis' fifth homer of the season and his third in the month of July. The slugging third baseman is finally beginning to come around amidst what's been another injury-plagued campaign, and his recent surge could help him work his way back up Minnesota's batting order at some point. Since the start of June, Lewis is slashing .322/.381/.529 with four big flies, six doubles and 16 RBI over 97 plate appearances.

Lewis went 3-for-4 with a double and one stolen base in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis is 5-for-8 over the last two games, and he also picked up his first steal of the season Monday. This may be the spark the third baseman needs to get things going again, though he's been fairly steady by batting .294 (15-for-51) since returning from a hamstring injury at the start of July. He's up to a .233/.293/.360 slash line with four home runs, 15 RBI and 16 runs scored across 45 contests this year.

Lewis went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis took full advantage of the Colorado air, mashing a pair of home runs Sunday -- a 451-foot blast in the fourth inning followed by another solo shot in the eighth. It marked the first multi-homer game of his career and his first long balls since returning from the injured list July 1. The 26-year-old had shown limited impact at the plate prior to this outburst but is now 12-for-47 (.255) with four extra-base hits over 14 games since his return. With Lewis' power stroke starting to resurface, he may be finding his rhythm just in time for a strong second half.

Lewis is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup versus Colorado.

Lewis is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
After a two-plus-week stay on the injured list while recovering from a hamstring injury, Lewis made his return to the Minnesota lineup Tuesday, starting at third base while going 1-for-3 with a double in a 2-0 loss. At least for his first handful of games back from the IL, Lewis will have his workload managed, so he'll be given a breather Wednesday. Lewis' absence opens up a spot in the lineup for Harrison Bader, who will pick up a start in the outfield while utility man Willi Castro shifts back to the infield.

The Twins reinstated Lewis (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis will rejoin Minnesota after he missed just over two weeks with a left hamstring strain, the latest in a long line of soft-tissue injuries for the 26-year-old in recent seasons. He was activated after going 0-for-8 with two strikeouts while making two starts at designated hitter and one at third base during a three-game rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul. Though the Twins haven't clarified their plans for Lewis upon his return from the IL, he'll presumably have his workload managed initially and may end up seeing a larger share of his starts at DH in an effort to keep him healthy. While Lewis has been productive when available in past seasons despite missing considerable time with injuries, he's struggled to get going offensively thus far in 2025, slashing just .202/.282/.303 with two home runs and nine RBI over 110 plate appearances.

Lewis (hamstring) could return from a rehab assignment as early as Tuesday, Matthew Leach of MLB.com reports. He went 0-for-3 as the DH for Triple-A Friday, and then 0-for-2 with a walk as the DH Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis will likely need to play third base in a game before being activated. If he doesn't return Tuesday, the MLB.com article suggests he could return Friday. Lewis suffered a hamstring injury June 13 after missing five weeks to begin the season with the same injury on his left leg. It sounds like the Twins could have him DH initially when he returns.

Lewis (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis was cleared to play in rehab games after running the bases without issue Thursday. The third baseman is eligible to be activated from the 10-day injured list at any time, but it's not clear how many rehab games the Twins will ask him to play.
