Odor will sit for the first portion of Saturday's doubleheader against the Phillies.

Odor has featured regularly against righties of late but hasn't started against a southpaw all season, so it's no surprise to see him on the bench against Ranger Suarez. Odor could return to the lineup for the nightcap against right-hander Taijuan Walker.

With lefty Andrew Abbott on the hill, the lefty-hitting Odor will retreat to the bench for the series finale. Short-side platoon mate Nelson Cruz will serve as the Padres' designated hitter Sunday in Odor's stead.
