Diamondbacks signed LHP Rommie Lewis to a minor league contract. Lewis hasn't appeared in the majors since 2011 and spent last season in the Independent League. The 30-year-old left-hander will serve as organizational depth.

Rommie Lewis has elected free agency. Lewis was outrighted off the 40-man roster recently but declined an assignment to Triple-A. Given his 7.07 ERA over the last two seasons at Triple-A, there probably won't be too many teams lining up to sign him, but the 29-year-old could be added as organizational depth somewhere.

Blue Jays purchased the contract of LHP Rommie Lewis from Triple-A Las Vegas. Lewis posted a 6.75 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 18 2/3 innings at the big league level last year. He'll operate as a lefty specialist with Trever Miller having been shipped out.
