Astros manager Bo Porter said Friday that Robbie Grossman will get the chance to be the regular center fielder while Justin Maxwell (hand) is sidelined. Grossman, who was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City earlier this week, was a .269/.381/.389 batting line over parts of six seasons in the minors. Some doubt whether he'll be able to stick in center field in the long term, but his speed and on-base skills could be useful in AL-only fantasy leagues.

It's unlikely the injury will have an impact on his availability for spring training, but it could affect his power production in 2012.
