Batting fifth after the Brewers' lineup shakeup, Rickie Weeks went 2-for-5 with a homer Saturday against the Rockies. The homer was a go-ahead blast off Huston Street in the top of the ninth. It was a two-run shot, making it 8-6, and the Brewers held on in the bottom of the ninth to win 8-7. We're not at all thrilled with the idea of Weeks hitting fifth for any length of time, but with the way things worked out tonight, he'll almost surely be back there on Sunday.

The NL All-Star Team announced their batting order for Tuesday's game. Rickie Weeks will lead off followed by Carlos Beltran, Matt Kemp, Prince Fielder, Brian McCann, Lance Berkman, Matt Holliday, Troy Tulowitzki and Scott Rolen. Roy Halladay is the NL's starting pitcher.

Rickie Weeks slugged a three-run homer in Thursday's 5-4 defeat of the visiting Reds. Weeks was named a participant in the 2011 Home Run Derby earlier this week despite a rather uninspiring home run total. That total has now been boosted. Weeks, 28, has an .821 OPS, 16 dingers and 37 RBI this season.

Prince Fielder has tabbed teammate Rickie Weeks as one of the participants in the Home Run Derby. Fielder and Weeks will be joined by Matt Kemp and Matt Holliday for the NL squad in the new team format this year. Lance Berkman, Jay Bruce and Mike Stanton, who did not make the team, have to be considered the "snubs" in the NL, though not everyone wants to take part in the competition. The AL's squad will be composed of team captain David Ortiz, Adrian Gonzalez, Jose Bautista and Robinson Cano. Curtis Granderson, Paul Konerko, Mark Reynolds and Nelson Cruz were options for the AL team, as was Mark Teixeira before he removed himself from consideration.

Rickie Weeks went 2-for-4 with a solo homer Saturday in the Brewers' victory over the Red Sox. Weeks went deep along with teammate Corey Hart in a fruitful first inning against Red Sox left-hander Jon Lester. Boston mounted a few comeback attempts but ultimately fell short. Weeks has 14 homers, 19 doubles and 32 RBI on the season.
