The Toronto Blue Jays have optioned infielder Richard Urena to the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons on Friday, making room for Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s long-anticipated promotion. Urena appeared in 11 games for the Blue Jays this season, slashing .313/.333/.406 in 35 at-bats. He will play consistently in Buffalo and is likely to get called up at a later point during the 2019 MLB season.

The Toronto Blue Jays are placing infielder Brandon Drury (hand) on the 10-day disabled list after he was diagnosed with a fractured left hand. In a corresponding move, infielder Richard Urena is being recalled from the minors. Drury didn't pan out for the Yankees and had only four hits in 26 at-bats (.154) in eight games for Toronto.
