Navarro (hamstring) was activated from the minor-league 7-day disabled list Tuesday, Tacoma Rainiers broadcaster Mike Curto reports.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro opened his Triple-A season on the disabled list due to a hamstring injury but is now set to return to action. The infielder slashed .278/.342/.380 with Triple-A Salt Lake of the Angels' organization last season.

Navarro has been limited in practice and held out of game action with a hamstring injury, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro is in camp with the Mariners as a non-roster invitee. With just 10 career major-league games under his belt (all in 2015), Navarro had a very slim chance of breaking camp with Seattle even before this injury. If he misses too many more spring games, his chances of winning a roster spot will likely fall from slim to none.

Navarro signed a minor-league contract with the Mariners which includes an invitation to spring training.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro hasn't appeared in the majors since 2015, spending each of the previous two seasons with the Angels' minor-league affiliates. He hit a respectable .278/.342/.380 across 126 games with Triple-A Salt Lake last season, but that wasn't enough for him to make it back to the show. Navarro will get a chance to compete for a bench role in spring, though he'll likely wind up as organizational infield depth in 2018.

Navarro agreed to a minor league contract with the Angels on Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro was cast off the 40-man roster earlier in the month after mustering just a .227 batting average at Triple-A Salt Lake last season. With that in mind, it seems like he'll just be an organizational depth piece unless his bat comes back to life in 2017.

Navarro was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
His chances of holding onto his 40-man spot throughout the winter were slim, to put it nicely. Navarro put up just a .227/.253/.325 line at the Triple-A level in 2016 -- in the hitter-friendly PCL. He will provide organizational infield depth in 2017.

Navarro is expecting a call-up to replace Andrelton Simmons (thumb) on the Angel's 25-man roster, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro has only 10 MLB games under his belt but will have the chance for extended time on the 25-man roster with Simmons expected to miss a good portion of time off the diamond. That said, Navarro has a lackluster slash line of .253/.278/.333 over 93 plate appearances with Triple-A Salt Lake in 2016.

Navarro was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels made their final roster trim down in advance of Opening Day on Saturday, optioning Navarro and others down to Triple-A. Navarro had a decent spring with a .257 batting average to go with two doubles and eight RBI, but his inability to get on base (.263 OBP) was problematic. He'll start the year in the infield at Salt Lake.

Navarro is part of an open competition for the Angels' starting second base job this spring, the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
With minor league options remaining, Navarro seems likely to get a taste of Triple-A Salt Lake to begin the season. Johnny Giavotella is the favorite to open 2016 as the starter, but Navarro will have a chance to compete with Cliff Pennington and Gregorio Petit for the job. Navarro posted a .261/.310/.372 line with six homers and four steals in 89 games at Triple-A Norfolk as a 25-year-old last season.

Navarro was claimed off waivers by the Angels on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro appeared in just 10 games with the Orioles last season, collecting eight hits in 29 at-bats and driving in three runs. According to The Orange County Register, Navarro does have option years remaining, meaning that he'll likely start the year at Triple-A.

Navarro was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
With Bud Norris (illness) returning from the DL to make the start Sunday against the Indians, the Orioles determined that keeping Navarro, a utility infielder, was an unnecessary luxury. Navarro was only with the Orioles for two games during his latest stint with the big club.
