Triple-A Norfolk placed Trimble on its 7-day injured list Saturday after he exited Friday's 6-4 win over Nashville due to right hamstring discomfort, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Trimble went 0-for-2 with a walk in Norfolk's opening game before being lifted for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the seventh. The 25-year-old was awarded a spot on the Orioles' 40-man roster this offseason and could make his MLB debut at some point later on in 2026, but it may take injuries to multiple outfielders on the big-league roster before he receives his first call-up.

Baltimore added Trimble to its 40-man roster during the offseason to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft. The 25-year-old could make his big-league debut at some point in 2026, but he may need multiple outfielders to go down with injuries before he gets a look. Trimble is expected to open the 2026 campaign at Triple-A Norfolk after slashing .259/.319/.435 with five home runs and eight steals in 30 games at the level last season.

EDGE Analysis
After undergoing surgery on his left shoulder over the winter, Trimble opened the season on the IL and didn't receive clearance to head out on a rehab assignment until mid-July. He only needed two rehab games in the rookie-level Florida Complex League before the Orioles felt comfortable advancing Trimble to Single-A, where he's expected to remain for the rest of the season unless he produces well enough to force a promotion to High-A Aberdeen.

EDGE Analysis
Trimble underwent left shoulder surgery in December, and he's just now getting back up to speed. The outfielder, a second-round pick from 2021, still has a little more to go in his recovery, but he should be back with Single-A Delmarva in the near future to begin his second minor-league campaign.

EDGE Analysis
Trimble was selected with the 65th pick in the 2021 draft. He didn't have much success in a small sample of 16 games for Low-A Delmarva, struggling to a .169/.276/.185 slash line. The procedure is expected to require six to nine months of recovery, so he could wind up back on the field as soon as early June but could also wind up missing almost the entirety of the 2022 season.

Trimble was one of several prospects at all levels of the Orioles' farm system that received a promotion Monday. The 21-year-old outfielder posted an .844 OPS across six games in the FCL after being selected with the 60th overall pick in July's first-year player draft.
