Suarez (2-6) took the loss Sunday, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks over 6.1 innings against the Twins. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez has allowed just five runs over his last three starts (16.1 innings) though he's still yet to earn a win since June 27, as the Phillies offense couldn't provide any run support in a 3-0 loss. The 27-year-old Suarez now sports a 3.88 ERA with a 1.43 WHIP and 89:35 K:BB across 17 starts (97.1 innings) this season. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend in Washington.

Suarez came away with a no-decision in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw hit the wall in the sixth inning, giving up three straight singles to load the bases with two outs. Jeff Hoffman bailed Suarez out by getting CJ Abrams to pop out -- although Hoffman then cost Suarez a shot at his third win of the season, and first since June 27, by giving up the lead in the seventh. Despite falling one out shy of his ninth quality start of the year, Suarez has posted a shaky 4.95 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 31:17 K:BB through 40 innings since his last victory, making him a risky fantasy option for his next outing, which is likely to come on the road early next week in Toronto.

Suarez did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing a run on 10 hits and two walks over 6.1 innings against Miami. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez managed to hold the Marlins to just one run despite allowing 10 hits, thanks to a pair of key double-play balls. Overall, it was s a solid start to the month for the 27-year-old southpaw after pitching to a 6.11 ERA over five starts in July. Suarez is 2-5 this season with a 4.01 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 76:30 K:BB across 15 starts (41.2 innings). He's currently scheduled to face the Nationals at home in his next outing.

Suarez came away with a no-decision Wednesday against the Orioles, giving up four runs on seven hits and a walk over six-plus innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw was nursing a 4-3 lead when he took the mound for the top of the seventh inning, but after James McCann greeted him with a leadoff double, Suarez got the hook and had to watch Seranthony Dominguez allow the inherited runner to score. After a brilliant June, Suarez hasn't picked up a win in five July starts, getting tagged for at least three runs in each one and posting a 6.11 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and 23:13 K:BB through 28 innings on the month. Should the Phillies add starting pitching at the trade deadline, Suarez might well be the pitcher who gets bumped from the rotation.

Suarez (2-5) took the loss Friday, giving up four runs on eight hits and two walks over five innings as the Phillies fell 6-5 to the Guardians. He struck out five and also threw two wild pitches.
EDGE Analysis
Cleveland had runners in scoring position in four of the five frames Suarez worked, and the southpaw mostly wasn't able to wiggle off the hook. He's lost three straight decisions in his four July outings, stumbling to a 6.14 ERA and 17:12 K:BB through 22 innings on the month. Suarez will try to get back on track in his next start, which is likely to come at home next week against the Orioles.

Suarez didn't factor into the decision in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Padres, giving up three runs on six hits and three walks over six innings in a 6-4 win. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
He tossed 97 pitches (59 strikes) en route to his seventh quality start in 12 trips to the mound this season, but Suarez got out-dueled by Blake Snell while both lefties were still in the game and exited in line for his fifth loss. The Phillies' offense mounted the first of two successful comebacks on the day to get him off the hook, however. Suarez will take a 3.84 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 62:25 K:BB through 68 innings into his next outing, likely to come next weekend in Cleveland.

EDGE Analysis
Four of the five runs against Suarez came on Stone Garrett's grand slam with two outs in the third inning. It's the first time since May 30 that Suarez has allowed more than one run in a start -- he'd pitched to a 1.08 ERA over his previous five outings (33.1 innings). The 27-year-old southpaw now sports a 3.67 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP and 55:18 K:BB across 10 starts (56.1 innings) this season). Suarez (2-2) earned the win Tuesday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over 7.1 innings against the Cubs. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander generated just nine swinging strikes on 104 pitches, but he kept Chicago off the board until the eighth inning, when it finally scratched across a run on three singles. Suarez surrendered 12 runs in his first three outings after missing the first six weeks of the season with an elbow strain, but he's dominated in six starts since with a 1.35 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 37:10 K:BB over 40 innings. He tentatively projects for a favorable matchup at home versus the Nationals this weekend.
