Ramon Vazquez has reached agreement on a contract with the independent BridgePort Bluefish. Vazquez is hoping to eventually climb his way to the major leagues but the 35-year-old infielder faces long odds. He batted .230/.335/.279 for the Pirates in 2009.

We can't imagine teams are beating down the door to sign him, but he can probably catch on with a minor league deal somewhere.
