Garcia was released from his minor-league contract with the Royals on Monday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Garcia spent most of the 2017 campaign in the minors, though he earned a brief promotion at the end of August before being designated for assignment shortly thereafter. The 28-year-old struggled during his time in the majors, allowing nine runs on 12 hits and five walks while striking out two batters across six innings of work. He's reportedly heading overseas to pitch in Japan next year, though specifics remain unknown at this point.

Garcia was outrighted to Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Garcia will report to Omaha after passing through waivers untouched. The 28-year-old struggled during his brief time in the majors this season, allowing nine runs on 12 hits and five walks while only striking out two batters in six innings. He'll stick in the minors as organizational pitching depth.

Garcia was designated for assignment by the Royals on Tuesday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Garcia will swap places on the 40-man roster with Mike Morin, who was claimed off waivers from the Angels in a corresponding move. The 28-year-old southpaw appeared in just two games for the Royals this season, allowing nine runs on 12 hits with a 2:5 K:BB over six innings. Garcia owns a career 13.50 ERA across 7.1 major-league innings.

Garcia (0-1) gave up four runs on four hits and one walk in one-third of an inning in a losing effort against the Twins on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
This was a disaster from the start and it only got worse for Kansas City, as four relievers combined to give up 13 more runs after Garcia's exit. Garcia has allowed nine runs over six innings in his two appearances with the Royals, so chances are they will turn elsewhere the next time through the rotation.

Garcia will start Saturday's game in Minnesota, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
He gave up five runs on eight hits and four walks while striking out two in 5.2 innings of long relief in his Royals debut last weekend. This means he is properly stretched out, but extremely risky for fantasy purposes. Garcia may only be making a spot start, as it is unclear when Danny Duffy (elbow) will be able to return to the rotation.

Garcia, making his first appearance since 2013 as a Dodger, allowed five runs on eight hits and four walks over 5.2 innings in relief Sunday against Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Starter Eric Skoglund was hammered for seven runs over 1.1 innings to open the door for Garcia to make his Royals debut. The 28-year-old lefty allowed two home runs -- including a grand slam -- before recording an out, but settled in and tossed 5.2 scoreless frames from there. Garcia will likely get his fair share of innings as the club wants to get a good look while it can, but he shouldn't be expected to offer any fantasy value while working out of the bullpen.

Garcia had his contract purchased from Triple-A Omaha on Saturday, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Garcia will take the roster spot of Danny Duffy (elbow), who was placed on the disabled list in a corresponding move. The 28-year-old has just 1.1 innings of big-league experience to his name, so he likely won't pitch in anything other than low-leverage situations. He recently shifted into Omaha's starting rotation, compiling a 4.89 ERA across 10 starts, so he'll be able to offer length out of the Royals' bullpen.

Garcia was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, the Chicago Sun-Times' Daryl Van Schouwen reports. He will offer organizational bullpen depth this year, but even if he is called up at some point, it will likely be to pitch in low-leverage situations.

The White Sox claimed Garcia off waivers from the Dodgers on Thursday, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports. Garcia appeared in just one game last season due to a longer-than-expected recovery from elbow surgery. He is an intriguing prospect, however, having struck out 71 batters and giving up just 49 hits in 64.2 minor league innings. Garcia will have an outside shot to earn a spot in the the White Sox' bullpen during spring training.

Garcia (elbow) tossed a scoreless inning for Double-A Chattanooga in their playoff game Sunday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports. The outing was just Garcia's second of the season, after a procedure last winter to clean up his elbow significantly delayed his start to the campaign. Once he gets a few more innings under his belt in the minors and through simulated games, he could be activated by the Dodgers and used out of their bullpen during the final week or two of the season.
